Renewal time, multi car insurance for 4 cars.

    Last year cost £1440.

Renewal this year, £1735. Guessing they've got to recover that £100 they refunded me for COVID.

A phone call later, they can do it for £1517.

Check another online multi car insurer, £1620.

10 minutes on a comparison site, all 4 cars with different mainline insurers, £1167.

So what is a multi car insurer's definition of "multi car discount"? Whatever it is it certainly ain't mine!

Every year the same bollox. Anyway, just venting really, this year I go for 4 different insurers.

Next year I'm going to guess that it will be different again.

    True- don’t get multicar policies

Multi cars all marketing aimed at people who arent too wizzy at comparison sites or just want to get it over and done with and save the hassle. They will show a lower price for one car but bump up the other one. Whereas single insurance you'll probably get a few hundred cheaper

F**K Insurance companies, all the cars in the UK could be off the road for a year with no one driving and premiums would still go up for some BS reason.

Multi Car has never worked out cheaper. Its prudent to shop around every year as loyalty is rewarded with higher premiums, due to the way their Algo works out the risk v ££.
For our family wagon 3 series tourer, our current provider wanted to double the premium to renew in a few weeks and the same with my wifes GTD. A quick Go Compare/Insure the Meerkat with Sergi produced much cheaper quotes, with improved cover and less ££ than last years cost, both cars with major providers as well.

TBH insurance is aimed at people who don’t shop about- they ‘think’ they are getting a good deal as they are loyal repeat customers when in fact the insurance company is laughing at them because they have loaded their policy

That’s why on renewal it’ll be higher- they hope you won’t check or are too busy to shop about

With the start of comparison sites you do indeed get a better deal- it’s the 1st thing to try- thing is you might not get the best policy for your money

So it’s always worthwhile shopping about

The thing is most people don’t anymore

And the insurance companies all get their money

Just to upset the apple cart...

Two of mine placed on an Admiral multi car were cheaper than single policies for both.
