    Hello everyone

My M3 had a faulty power steering pump and the steering was rough sometimes when tuning and I could hear a winning sound.
I changed the pump and the reservour but the noise is still there.

Could it be the water pump that is winning?

I'm going to change the water pump in case it's never been done. Can I get one from euro car parts?

Any advise would be much appreciated!

Is it when you hit full lock? I think this is down to the pump/hose and is normal? Have you checked your fluid level? I seem to remember reading about something in the high pressure hose that causes it. You can replace the hose with an hack Engineering one but I think it still whins

Power steering pump and reservoir were changed tonight and I flushed the fluid. I thought only the noise didn't go away at first but after leaving the garage I noticed the steering is still the same, its tight when turning and the wining noise is driving me crazy.

Which high pressure hose is it? Is it the one that has a metal pipe also and that they always rust and start to leak from that pipe?

Also could the steering rack be faulty and cause the noise and go tight when turning?

All the air is out but it's still stiff. I went to CPC in Amersham today and Phil said it's the release bearing :( . I thought the noise was coming from the power steering pump :(

As for the water pump, If that's the case then I'll go for oem one
