I know there's been previous discussion on this but didn't see anything recent and maybe there's a new product on the market or so.

I'm seeing Bosch Icons, Bosch Aero Twin, Bosch OEM Super Plus skeleton type and Genuine BMW Evo Flat ones. Not sure what to go for.

I have the flat blades (aero twin?) obviously look better than the old-timey blades but I’m not sure if they are the wrong size or figment but they are not that great. Previous owner fitted them and my prior E46 had the usual Bosch ones which were perfect.

the passenger side seems to be too long and doesn’t lie 100% flat and it leaves a “missed” spot in middle of the screen. I have heard this might be because there is some plastic bit that needs removing from the wiper arm, but it doesn’t always do it (usually only when you need it!) so I haven’t removed it yet.

The genuine BMW blades are excellent.

I had bought some Bosch ones beforehand and they were so bad I returned them. Left an unswept area in the middle of the screen.

Did you remove the clip above when you fitted them?

Nope, mine have up cover that goes over the bit that slides into the wiper arm, tbf it didn’t seat correctly the 1st time and didn’t work but I refitted it and was fine. I use the same wipers on my golf gti and my van as they are so good. I’ve had a pair of faulty ones before though

    I removed the clip.

I don’t mess around now and just buy the BMW ones. Same when I got them for the MINI as well.

I bought Bosch old style, wipe the screen properly and in my opinion look much better than the new style with their often bulky clips.

AC427 - sorry cant remember, just the ones from eurocarparts I think, drivers side has a spoiler/deflector on. Look same as ones in M3topperz link.
