How on earth did she do that? I can't beleive she would have turned the traction control off. Even the worst driver would struggle to do that with TC on

Exactly what I was thinking. The guy is a bit of a dick for filming her afterwards tbh bit going off said video she doesn’t look much of a driver.

People crash like that all the time, the car looked to simply go where it was told after it stepped out, if the DSC/TC was off it would have just spun. I suspect she just froze and held the lock on and the throttle pinned till the last minute.

Totally get what you are saying but how did the back step out that badly. even if she pinned the throttle the car would or should have cut the power. How many times have we booted it and then TC cuts all’s the power. Just seems a bit odd to me

Seems like it was a cold engine too, going by the steam from the exhausts.

Typical newspaper though, have to focus on the fact it’s a £70k Bmw...

These cars are going to be uninsurable if idiots keep crashing them :(

Looked like the inside wheel hit the white line, diff would have instantly locked and shunted it all to the other wheel and kicking it out. That’s how locking diffs react. TC would simply Meter out as much power as it could for the steering lock and grip. Honestly DSC and TC is witchcraft. It will go where you point it as fast as it can make it go if you keep the throttle pinned.

The Gardener filming the incident called a BMW dealership to find out the price? WTF. Sad, sad man.

What difference does the price of the car make? Plenty of accidents in cheapaer cars. LOL.

So he was going to overtake across the chevrons too? This makes him a far safer driver than her? It would still be pretty blind.

How about "Are you OK?" "Are you hurt?" Sounds like a dick too. Of course shes a muppet and her arrogance doesn't help but I'm sure she's a little shocked.

Like the comment at the end of the video if you made it that far.

I agree, he didn’t want to wait either so was prepared to overtake the car and wagon when he couldn’t see if anything was coming, she’s a div and so he is. I agree it could have been worse though, it could have been a M3 :)

Agreed it was numpty driving but it does bug the hell out of me these days people are more interested in getting their phone out than seeing if the people in the car are ok, sad times :suicide:

What an absolute [email protected] of a man...the very first thing any decent person would be to get out and check if the driver was ok or 999 needed to be called.
Not drive alongside and adjust your dashcam.
The crash was a rerun of that Lambo crashing leaving that meet a short while ago.

Maybe her fella has the M button set to disable traction/enable dynamic traction and she pressed it without realizing?

Certainly seems to be a case of deer in the headlights.

I don't get why they call her a show-off driver? She just passed a park lorry, not like she was revving it and doing burn outs...? Just unlucky :(

The moment she did it he was thinking $$$. Forget about the cost of the car, as it's the daily fail I'm surprised they didn't print how much his and hers house cost. They missed a trick there (could actually be thinking of express but don't read these f""kers so prob all the same).

Cold tyres, hard acceleration, powerful car, not even TC can save you in situation like that, as even the AWD R8 driver found out a couple of years ago after leaving a Cars and Coffee meet.

Side note just watched it again and she was already on the phone... Makes me wonder if the phone was in use during the accident

Even the most experienced of us might need a minute after a cock up like that before making phone calls....
