That’s what to doWas actually looking at that route (the NE250 that is)
Will give you a heads up when going
Had never heard of the Perthshire one but that looks good.
Your more than well one to come in past for a cuppa when doing the NE250, when passing through past usWill likely look at a couple of nights away in Wales in August and then doing the NE250 in September.
First trip lined up thanks to one of many suggestions from @Derekh929 .
2 nights away and will book hotel 11th/12th July and do the route roughly as in the pic.

Looks great, and if you fancy a good road to get there here’s a link to tempt you.

I like the looks of that.
On my way home I'll be calling into Galashiels to Aero Leather, will be coming back across the Northumberland Moors so could then pull that route in on my way back to Derby.
I will have to check this out as well Fraser![]()
Well, you know what they say about plans.
They're there for changing
Taking note of what @Derekh929 said ref better driving roads than the initial trip I was looking at decided to look at the NE250 and drive up through the Cairngorms. Derek, what are your thoughts on the route in the pic? Starting early morning from The Moness Resort and getting back there the same evening.
Not overly interested in stopping at distilleries etc, much prefer a driving trip to be mainly driving, stopping for a leg stretch, coffees and fuel....fuel might be regular

I’m going to chime in once again and just add one wee thing. Do Tomintoul, Grantown on Spey then Forres rather than Nairn. The road from the Y to Forres is better than the one going to Nairn.
It’s a cracker of a road from Tomintoul, enjoy the Brig ‘O’ Broon.
