Had never heard of the Perthshire one but that looks good.

That’s what to do we have done theHeart 200 a couple of times, did the South West 300 last year and Kintyre 66 , some good bits on them , but difficult to do just the good bits IMHO new routes all over

Do not miss, Culzean castle just down from Ayr it’s amazing, not so much mountain and hill on that route, Moffat was really nice for a top, Mull of Galloway Lighthouse must see location, Southerness Lighthouse, also PortPatrick really nice, but just remember the roads for driving are far better on NE 250, heart 200 NC500 for dramatic back drops, the road up from Perth to Glenshee is epic.
Another route that’s really good Ski Roads 90 yes there really is that amount know
You could go in past Colin for a freshly milked pint of Milk @C1CDG

On my way home I'll be calling into Galashiels to Aero Leather, will be coming back across the Northumberland Moors so could then pull that route in on my way back to Derby.

It was fantastic and I would highly recommend it. Cracking scenery and roads, just watch out for any sheep.

They're there for changing

Taking note of what @Derekh929 said ref better driving roads than the initial trip I was looking at decided to look at the NE250 and drive up through the Cairngorms. Derek, what are your thoughts on the route in the pic? Starting early morning from The Moness Resort and getting back there the same evening.

Not overly interested in stopping at distilleries etc, much prefer a driving trip to be mainly driving, stopping for a leg stretch, coffees and fuel....fuel might be regular

I’m going to chime in once again and just add one wee thing. Do Tomintoul, Grantown on Spey then Forres rather than Nairn. The road from the Y to Forres is better than the one going to Nairn.

It’s a cracker of a road from Tomintoul, enjoy the Brig ‘O’ Broon.
