Hi all, some of you have been to the regular car show I host at Newark Showground, Notts.

On December 3rd will be hosting our first indoor version, with a difference, at the same site.

We'll be focussing on the 'ultimate evolution' of more popular models, like the E46 M3 CSL, and the ultimate evolution of the car itself, like the M1 I guess.

But all are welcome, one way or another!

Details on the facebook page link here and general info pasted below.

Would be great to have some cutters along!

    Cheers, Ben.

Horsepower at the Hall presents “Ultimate Evolution”!

Our first venture into the indoors! “Ultimate Evolution” will be hosted in and around the George Stephenson Exhibition Hall at the Newark Showground.

What is Ultimate Evolution? Overall, it’s another informal and relaxed car show like our regular “Gearheads at the ‘ground” gatherings. But in the hall itself we will be focussing on two specific genres of the automobile:

    - the ultimate evolution of popular models (like the M3 to the 3-series, or the Focus RS to the Focus)

    - the ultimate evolution of the automobile itself (like most Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Ducatis for example)

The Ultimate Evolution display in the hall will be restricted to between 100 and 120 vehicles. Entrants will be approved by the organiser, based on their relevance to the theme (and first come first served for multiple requests for the same model).

However, as ever we will welcome everybody with a vehicle that they cherish, and will have further displays directly outside the hall on the lawns – all welcome, no qualification criteria and no prior requests required, just turn up and park up like gearheads at the ‘ground.

Want an opportunity to promote your automotive-related business?
We would welcome requests from local car dealers, new or used, who would like to display their stock in the outdoor space between the hall and the display lawns where we have ample space on well-finished tarmac.

Furthermore, for less weather-hardy businesses, along one side of the exhibition hall we have plenty of indoor space for trade stands – parts, products, services etc – if it’s roughly car-related we would love to hear from you.

Catering will be provided by the showground through the café in the exhibition hall. Toilets are also in the hall itself.

Everything you need for a great afternoon out!

    Ultimate Evolution display vehicles

Cost for exhibiting your vehicle in the hall will be £5 and of course includes entrance to the event for the owner (passengers will be charged the same £2 entrance fee as everybody else). If you think your vehicle meets the selection criteria then please get in contact with me – either directly on this facebook page, through facebook messenger, or by email to [email protected].

Please note that you will be requested to arrive in good time before the show starts, in order to get the display vehicles parked in the hall, and you will not be able to remove your vehicle from the hall until the event finishes.

    Other display vehicles

Displaying your vehicle on the lawn outside the hall is free! You will only need to pay for general entrance to the show. No application required, just turn up and park up.

    General entrance

Entrance to the show will be charged at £2 per person (not per vehicle). There is also plenty of parking for none-display vehicles.

    Sponsors/Business exhibitors

If you would like to sponsor the event, or promote your business in or outside of the hall, please get in contact. Again, either directly on this page, through facebook messenger or by email to [email protected].

    Never heard of it either.

A car show in december is the wrong time as its close to xmas and some won't bring out their nice cars during winter.

If you want to make it a good first show, what would help is get it advertised on all the major forums, facebook BMW pages, get some flyers made up and give them out at other car shows earlier in the year so you can get some interest.
