I always put MDM mode on, it's saved under M1. I sometimes turn it fully off when i fancy it.
But i always put it back on when on a long A road or the M-way
MDM most of the time and TC fully off when the weather allows.
This mite be a stupid question but turning MDM of in the setting is it the same as turning it off by the button on the centre console .
Iv turned it off on the settings but don't seem to had made a differeance as in .... i put my foot down and it don't pick up until it's in second gear , still gets bogged down in 1st gear.
Am I doing something wrong?
I run MDM in this weather (hot) all the time. No issues yet! Would never run full TC off
I've been running mine off during the warm weather....can be a bit of a surprise though if you suddenly lose all traction in 1st and it whips round to the rev limiter.
Hook it up though and you get the idea of just how fast the car is.
MDM doesn't seem to be anywhere near as lenient as it was in my E92 M3s....can't seem to get the great powerslides out of a junction.
Are you saying it's too intrusive on the M4 compared to the E92?
If so, the GTS flash sorts that out.
It does seem like it...but it could just be me...what with my pitiful skill level.
If BMW offered it, I'd be all over like a cheap suit.
Yeah Bob, I think the GTS flash is what you want then for the MDM to be more playful, definitely allows more slip and drift angle and intervenes just at the right time. Need to be careful though as it can catch you out if you're not alert as it nearly happened to me and I almost had a brown trouser moment
I find the constant preemptive cuts just dull the feeling of the car, on track I'd definitely run it off
