Hi all, now my m140i negative is a bit lower I'm in a better position to pay it off and get an m4.
Seen these 2 which are fairly similar in price.

The yellow one says icons but they dont look like it. It does have the carbon exterior though which I really want.
The silver one is the lci version and has the best spec so I'm a bit undecided on what to go for.
Obviously the silver is slightly more expensive but not much different on payments really.
I've seen the yellow on Friday as I was up that way but didn't really take much notice of the lights
Payment wise they said they would go to 6.9 straight away making the payments around 624 a month on a 4 year pcp no deposit.
Silver want a 500 deposit and about 630 so not much different.
They wouldn't tell me the apr and wanted 795 to start with lol.
I like the silverstone interior but I'm not a massive car cleaning fan so thinking the black might be better on the yellow car just for ease of cleaning lol.
Any pros or cons for either that could tip it as I normally miss something lol

Good to see you back looking

The yellow car belonged to the famous Jay off this forum I think - am talking to Worcester on their CS and will do 5.9

Dick Lovett also you can get 5.9 from

Good luck both look great cars

    Yellow looks more striking.
If it’s that close , have either a service pack?
Have you looked into providence , number of owners , correct service history?
The backstory can be a deciding factor, for me.

    .
I don't want to hijack your thread but I can't believe dealers still try and pull this APR $h1t. You are taking a loan (that's what PCP is) and to provide one in the UK the lender needs to be regulated by the FCA (BMW Financial Services in this case). The FCA has 6 principles under their code of "Treating Customers Fairly" that the lender must abide by. What you described above is in breach of principles 3 (see below) and therefore also principle 1. If this were a Highstreet bank the fine would be £££millions if this were proven to be standard operating practice. We need to start complaining and get the car industry overhauled.

Outcome 1: Consumers can be confident they are dealing with firms where the fair treatment of customers is central to the corporate culture.
Outcome 3: Consumers are provided with clear information and are kept appropriately informed before, during and after the point of sale.
    https://www.fca.org.uk/firms/fair-treatment-customers

So everyone, next time a dealer says he can't tell you the APR, ask him if he'll tell the FCA what the APR is after you raise a complaint.

Great post - still amazes me salesman refer to a GFV when they mean the optional final payment

Well they haven't said they wont tell me they just seem to conveniently ignore it when I ask lol.
Im just waiting back to hear about service packs etc. I do like the yellow, thought I'd seen it somewhere before haha.
5.9 would be good, worcester started at 9.9 then he said 6.9 is the lowest so il see if they can go a bit more.
Is the CS the white one they had as it said sold?

Of the two I'd go with the Silver...ita a way nicer colour and has (a years) less miles.

The age is a bonus and being an lci but I must admit I am drawn to that yellow, I know it's a marmite colour but it does stand out lol.

Silverstone one for me I think :)
"Nicer" colour, less miles, un-black interior :muttley:

Both seem to have adaptive LED's to my eyes, not icons (but BMW adverts love to call them that).

Silver is a 1 owner car, tax expired 3 weeks ago, so they've had it on sale longer I reckon as yellow showed as still taxed.
yellow is a 2 owner car, 1 short ownership March-dec 2017 and then the current keeper, from Dec. 2017

But to be honest, forget the minute, in my opinion yellow just looks really striking. Silver looks very ordinary.

Yellow one was mine. They’re adaptive leds and dealers class these as icons they are the pre LCI version.

Speak to Richard at Rybrook mate I had that car on a 6.9 likewise with my 320

The silver one looks to have heated steering wheel, park assist and lane change over the AY but it’s boring silver :D

Well ownership wise I'm not too fussed as I'm planning on keeping it a while anyway.

I assume the service pack on the silver will be a 3 year one?

Spoke to a guy called sam I think, nice guy and tbf he did quote me at 6.9 with little effort so not too bad.
The heated steering wheel I might miss but the lane change etc doesn't interest me atall.
That's what mirrors are for , as long as I can drive straight I should be fine lol

Yes, it changed to 3 years after Dec 2016.
Lane change thing is awful, had that on a G20 and it seemed to be steering me. I switched it off
