I'm currently in the market for an earlier example M4, budget is around 30k and i'm not looking for a CP car with high mileage.

Main preferences are Black sapphire, Tanzenite blue or Azurite black, Silverstone or equivilent individual shade of white, full leather & heads up display with parking cam & surround view being a bonus.

The below car has all these options mentioned and seems to be in good nick, given it's a private seller I would be considering seeing if I could hire out one of the mechanics at my local indy BMW garage to come down and inspect the vehicle with a scan-tool to ensure there's no hidden issues.

Any thoughts or things to look out for (remap etc.) would be appreciated.

    Seems a bit odd.
Current owner took possession on 18 July 2020
Autotrader ad is 21 July 2020
2 previous owners , not 2 owners in total.
So a bought to flip, that hasn't sold in nearly 3 months?

I though it had a COVID extension , to 4 November?

I was trying to see if there's more on the very recent issue of the V5. But It doesn't correlate to anything. So was one lost, a new address as @adie says, or is something suspicious ?

Perhaps it's now sold, V5 is the new owner?

Yeah, but strange to see the info updated on new V5 and, if that's the case, not updated to say new owner.

This likely shows who sold it to second owner.

Note says Berry Chiswick did the RIS. And a service done in Feb. 2016. That could suggest , proportionally, a lot of miles down by owner 1 as doesn't seem needed otherwise, when you look how low miles it was over 2 years later.
    And wheels black.

Possibly not a new owner with less than a month to run on the MOT

If it’s out of warranty, a decent remap and some mods is no bad thing at all.

Not got any comments on the particular car you linked but don’t let some mods put you off. You need to suss out the owner but a lot of the time it indicates an enthusiast who warmed up the car, vs a lease car that’s just been treated at a tool.

The most abused f8* cars I know are the ones which are standard as the owners plan to give them back at the end of their agreement and don’t give a ****. One is over at the ring today being absolutely thrashed and will most likely end up back in the network as a AUC car.

Agree with this. Take mine for example:

    Shameful plug I know!!

As people have mentioned with Covid the MOT expires on the 4th of Nomember so i'd expect this to be renewed before approaching.

    @McarPete i've dropped you a PM
