There's a huge back story to this which I'm not in the mood to type out just yet until it's all resolved, but today even the low standards I've come to expect have hit a whole new level.

Since the start of January this year my M2 has been in and out of BMW for 3 issues that are completely unnacceptable, and for this last stint they have had the car for 8 weeks and 6 days (in total this year I' say the car has been with them for 12 weeks so far). I finally got a phonecall yesterday saying the car is almost ready but asking for my permission to clean the car, to which I said no. The guy said he really wants to have it cleaned as it;s covered in tree sap etc and he's unhappy about it. I explained that if he had anyone capable of doing the job properly and not swirling the paint up then that's fine, but if I get there and see any kind of mark I'll be hitting the roof, he said fair enough.

Fast forward to today they call to say it;s ready, I agree to be there at 5 - 5.30pm to collect. turn up and by luck park 2 cars down from it so decide to have a look over the car before going in, and find that they've put their w**k guardX crap on it so badly the paint almost looks matt finish, cloudy as hell and nothing like acceptable, and then look down the passenger side and find a huge dent in the door.

After 6 months of agro, currently going through the rejection process with BMW UK, a million visits to the dealer and the service idiots didn't have the common sense to have a quick walk round the car before I arrived to make sure it was up to scratch.

Then to top it off the service manager whilst trying to calm me down told me blatant lies which I have concrete proof are not true, and then still argued with me whilst I showed him and his service team this evidence.

How can any company that is solely reliant on customer satisfaction be so terrible?

Sorry to hear, but They don’t care. You are just another customer (victim), keep pushing to reject the car.

    Keep us updated

They don't care if you buy a 116d or an M8, just a item they sell, they really don't give two ****s about you needs and wants.

If the problems where from the start, you should have rejecting it straight away if it was after 30days they have one chance to fix it, and being as its that long you've got the right to refuse the car, I would have left it with them and said you are rejecting the car and have lost faith in it and left it there.

Shocking service pal. They kerbed the wheel of my car during a warranty visit and then denied all knowledge of it. Also had a car recovered due to them for over heating but they couldn't find any faults with it. They have a very snotty attitude overall.

    ^ not good.

After 6+ months of agro and no resolution my complaint is now with the Ombudsman so I'm hoping that will get me the answer I'm looking for.
