Found this nice little PDF, covers the 420d's and Taxi's but not the wendy's. Contains some useful information on our car's otherwise not published in the user manuals.

Also I like page 48 where it explains that the running in service should be at 2000km equating to 1242 miles.

My running in service was performed at exactly 1242 miles. It's the little things in life ...... :D

Excellent read, cheers smooth. Interesting that BMW are stating the 0-60mph on a DCT as 3.9 seconds?!

    Holy thread revival Batman!

If I have read that right, the M4 has a Li-ion battery. Wowzers as the young people say :)

    CCB’s a few questions....

One for the owners, not just opinions on internet hearsay...

For non track use, and general / slightly spirited road driving, are these good, or a PITA?

I’ve read on bimmerpost numerous threads about squealing, whistling, even on the highway doing 50mph and not braking...

Low speed squealing around town I can put up with,

Is there any real disadvantages? Do you worry about random stones damaging a disc... would you spec again?

New to the forum and just read this thread. Big thanks for posting, would be amazing if all cars had this sort of info published. Some impressive details that's for sure, carbon drive shafts, Li-Ion battery, multitude of extra details relating to chassis stiffness. Lovely to see a schematic of the DCT box too. Was hankering an E9x, but this makes the F8x sound like a massive step up. Need to arrange a test drive.
