    Maybe so.

It depends what you want and how you drive.

The amount some people spend on mainly cosmetic "improvements" could also be considered a waste of money. Some of these changes such as wider tyres will actually reduce performance in terms of speed and acceleration and more than likely provide no more grip!

And an extra 180 bhp will theoretically knock around 1 second off the 0-60 time :D

But also remember that even if 2 cars have the same 0-60 time one can accelerate from standstill over a given distance quicker than the other, time to speed is not the same as time to distance.

This is why you cannot rely on 0-60 times to say which car will out-drag another.

I have came to a conclusion.
I want to sell my sc as it is no faster than a normal car?
Only if we race over 100mph?
And if i remap my car for 1.5k-2k and get thirty bhp it would accelerate faster that a sc car.
So Im sold can i book my car in to take of the sc and have a inlet manifold fitted.
Sc 460 kit up for sale. Or ill swap it for a remap.
So glad i read this thread sc a m3 is a waste of money i cant belive i brought a sc kit. What a dumass!
For the record its no faster than standard up to 100mph and then it only just pulls a few car lenths.
    Im so upset right now.
Thanks for all the post and a very good read.
Pm me if you want a sc deposit more than welcome!

So was i untill this thread started i was sure it was the sc keeping me up with high power cars on the race track but ginge told me it was the bbk and the coilovers. I should listen to him more often, I would of saved a fortune.

Jd get off your high horse mate! I'm not arguing with you & I am not saying that a NA M3 is quicker than a SC M3...and never have done

I said I sold my charger for reasons being, that there is not a huge difference in a NA & SC M3 upto 100mph! & on the open road & the fact I was never going to track my car IMO made it is waste of time & money.

You will not find in any part of this thread that I have quoted that a re-map or a CSL intake is faster than a SC M3?

I stated above that IMO a re-mapped M3 is quick enough for the open road.

Get your facts right JD before making accusations & posting sarcastic STUPID comments!

At the end of the day JD I wasn't arguing with anyone on this thread I was only giving advice to crag which I thought was best, you have turned the whole thread in to a debate!

**** me I've only added about 4 posts to the thread but you have taken it upon yourself to include me in most your stupid posts!

Tell me again why you are wanting to upgrade your 460 kit

No need to be so defensive mate, you have a charger on your car and feel the car is much improved over oem and thats great. Bottom line is many members feel the genuine gains are not justified by the cost of the sc conversion in terms of how they perform over say a remaped m3 or an m3 running alpha N management with a csl airbox on the road.

Each to their own mate but the majority of members expressing opinions against the sc are in a position to afford the conversion should they wish which in my humble opinion makes their views valid. But hey what do i know?

Calm down Jady, Just because ya car is siht ha ha ha ha only joking mate just chillax yourself, No one has said anything bad about a SC M3 they have only commented that they also are not impressed, Your car is fast and a bit of a tool on a track day but even you can be honest and say for the money they cost you expect or expected alot more from the kit, We are talking 130bhp gain here not 30 and for a price tag of 6 -7K fitted and mapped then i would exspect a fcuking missile

Jd read my above posts! What bit of road use do you not get? Yes on a track a SC will be worth it!

You have a complete bee in your bonnet about this for no reason at all?

I'm not going to waste any more of my time talking to a dim wit!!

Enjoy your new more powerful supercharger ;)

As they would say in dragons den I'm out :D
