Talk to me I know nothing
True mike......i`m also guessing that your ex-convertible is heavier than Doc`s ?
And you still went and bought a convertible Z4M
no mate, you remember what happened last time ha ha ha ha
Never mentioned a standard m3 would keep up with a 460sc m3 i actually said there was nothing in it until over 100mph, For the money they just seem ****e lol
I`d rather see a stock car race a car with a carbon intake/map. Then we`ll decide whats ****e for the money.
An 11 degrees difference is nothing in terms of air intake temperature compensation on the software.... maybe 2 hp at best.
We'll give you a laptop and cable and your welcome to test your intake temps on the road vs ambient..... I can assure you almost always have a 10degC difference!
The intake probe is placed inside the airbox and that is a very realistic reading.
we drive supercharged M3's and there is no way on earth an NA car even with 370hp is going to touch a supercharged 440hp car with well over 300 lb.ft torque.
I wonder if the people who have done these very basic tests have turned the traction control off before having a drag race. If not.... I can assure you power has been cut while accelerating.
I no what your saying and a SC car is obviously faster but why is it all past 100mph or can this be changed in anyway, My problem is i want the 550bhp kit as soon as its out but im not prepared to spend silly money if it doesnt impress me, 460 in any other car is fast but i was not impressed when racing with one
Anyone owned a 550 bhp supercharged m3, and what are their thoughts?
Or who has owned one and got rid of it because it wasnt as good as expected it to be
Maybe it had a boost leak?
Maybe the driver was crap?
Maybe traction was on and it cut in?
I got beat by a standard Golf MK4 1.8t while driving an e39 M5......left the traction on, not such good tyres and it just would not put the power down.
So you number 2 then
There wont be many cars making a genuine 550HP on stock internals with fuel bought from a forecourt. Not reliably anyway.
We`re comparing times (under 100) where its very hard to see a noticeable difference on the road for most cars. Weight and traction are far more important at lower speeds. Take the Lotus exige S for example 0-100 is the same as an E60 M5, 0-150 and I`ll bet the E60 is easily 3-400M in front.
The science behind it is as speed increases the force needed to carry on accelerating rises exponentially, hence this will always be where big HP cars shine. Another example is the Ford GT, only 1s or so quicker to 100 than a GT3 but 6s quicker to 150 and at 150mph 6s = 400m`s. 1s at 100mph = only 44m`s.
A 550bhp vert on ebay ending tomorrow, not mine or a friends just thought it was rellevant!
It's craigs, he is a member on here. He has been trying to sell for a while now.
Looks nice anyway!
Crag you want to buy my sc ha ha ha
As I need the 550 kit as there is no different to 100mph with the 460 kit............... what a div!
There is nothing in it WHAT!!!! Listen to yourself man shut up your making your self look a fool ha ha ha
I seen yours up for sale again, what you going for mate?
hpf or fook it and just have a remap
Must be your driving then you prat ha ha ha, 460bhp and your car never went anywhere, Whos the prat that paid for it ha ha ha, I no Simpson motorsport said you wont feel much but i didnt think it would go that **** lol,
