It's only a car right?........
He could have been a bit more careful!
I know what you mean! But nowadays I’d just think to myself that if something like a chipped door is all I’ve got to worry about then life is good. There’s too many people out there who have got real things to worry about!
I had a go at ours for resting a parcel on the bonnet of one of our cars. It’s was only the shed family beater but thats not the point.
If he’d done it to the M3 I think there would have been more than just words.
Oh and you leave your cars unlocked?
The world is full of idiots. Some of them deliver our mail.
Yes all cars outside unlocked and keys in so they don't get lost. House open all day when at work. No crime here. It's one of the reasons we moved here. Down side is the few coppers here can be petty because they are bored.
Your right mate. Ridiculous really.
Have you seen where he lives?
Where would they go in it?
Exactly, my Audi is so distinctive (hard for an Audi) you could not steal it and go anywhere lol.
My postman wheres shorts in the winter, don't trust them at all.
Apparently you can buy little tins of paint known as touch up sticks to paint over such instances.
Sorry, but I still can't get past the bit about it being unlocked.... As I glance over at the CCTV monitors showing front and rear garage cameras covering my quadruple deadbolted, alarmed garage doors which are hiding my locked and alarmed M3 out of public view!
Funnily enough, was browsing eBay earlier looking for some additional security features as I'm not sure I have enough.
We live in different worlds mate. I used to live on the mainland. I don't want to sound like I'm rubbishing where people live so will simply say it's not for me.
There are no traffic cops here, miles of deserted well surfaced road, no crime to speak of. It's all pretty cool. Even my job is a top laugh and a right doss most of the time. Hard to believe this place is part of the UK.
I've got my m2 parked in the garage with a disklok an house alarmed with adt alarm hikvision cameras anti snap locks an I was wondering if I'm missing something. Neighbours think I'm radio rental.
We was in anglesey recently an I got the impression that was somewhere you could leave your doors open an nothing would ever happen
It's VERY sad you guys need to go to these lengths to keep your pride and joy safe. The law is to blame. There is not sufficient punishment for theft in the UK.
I've never been that worried about car theft till last month when they took my neighbours car off his drive. It hits home when someone so close has there car taken
Lol.... Just had M3 in for some work, they said it would take a Week. 2 days later, on the day I had an operation and was told I couldn't drive for at least a Week, they rang and said they'd finished the work already. Knowing the car was being parked outside, I immediately went and picked it up, just 3 hours after the Op, and still paying for it with pain!
As far as your postie is concerned, yes, I'd be furious too, but it is a tough one to deal with when living in an environment such as yours. Don't think I'd be able to hold myself back from at least questioning it.
Ironically, I'm probably right in saying you don't have CCTV so couldn't prove it anyway. Tbh, CCTV just pisses you off more.... Seeing someone being careless on camera after the event I think is more infuriating than just knowing it happened!
Ive never really had a problem with royal mail. Im quite pally with my postie and he knows who to leave my parcels with if im out. Yodel on the other hand! What a waste of space they are. Ive had notes saying left in porch (i dont have one). Parcels just left on my grass and parcels thrown over the gate. All that required signatures.
Regarding your situation.. Does he know he damaged your car.. maybe mention it to him he may offer to pay, or at least apologise...
And that would have been yours if you hadnt got the security.
Bet you dont seem so radio rental any more.
The worlds rife with scum, nice to hear that somewhere these things can be left unattended though.
How I wish it were true for the rest of this rotten island.
Its my stuff, I should be able to leave the keys in it running and no one should touch it.
Tokyo, Japan for a holiday not long ago. Residents leave their motorbikes outside with the keys in the ignition because of lack of crime.
