After a lot of testing, with lots of ups and downs, the end results speak for itself, in the videos below.

A big thanks to John (ccfj1), for being very patient with me and helping out with this project :peace:

I've already got your digital tv upgrade, can the dab be added to it or do I need to start from scratch again?

Looks good. Is it pretty obvious to tell what antenna is fitted by looking at the rear screen?

Yes, because its an analogue tuner in your car, and analogue signal was turned off a few years ago.

Works perfect on the X5s, as they have the rear screen antennas.

Im afraid not. One way is to look under the back bumper, to see if there is the large black metal antennas. Or look in the boot, under the left black plastic tray. If you see 2 fakra antenna cables leading to the bumper, then you have the bumper antennas.

I am not 100% sure when they changed the antennas, but I think it was at some point in 2003. Maybe a facelift?

Have no fear though, I now have these elite and very discrete antennas.

No, that is a new feature. I should be able to upgrade your whole unit with either the new control feature or/ and stereo sound.

    Hi Baris

Now were talking, that looks awesome, how have you managed to get the controls on the Mk4, it was the only thing that put me off the original dvbt upgrade.

What kind of money are we talking, for the upgrade?

    Best regards james

    That's a secret :)

    The prices currently, are:

    Stage 1 Digital TV/Radio Upgrade - £230

    Stage 2 Digital TV/Radio Upgrade - £350

For cutters, the prices will be

    Stage 1 Digital TV/Radio Upgrade - £210

    Stage 2 Digital TV/Radio Upgrade - £300

    Price excludes postage.

I will also do a postal exchange service, where you buy a ready made unit off me for £360 + postage, then once you have installed it and are happy with it, send me your tuner, and get £60 refund.

If I cannot find a solution for the factory bumper antennas, the antennas are an additional £30, for the pair.

All prices are negotiable, if you are getting more than 1 service at a time.

You must be suffering with just 2 front speakers working :p

    A world of difference !

Remote control add-on box vs. OEM+ integration with the factory system/controls

I can do that for you for £20 + postage.

    Factory controls.

Also I will be building the units differently. Absolutely no cables coming out of it, except the connections you connect to it, for example, usb extension cable, Antenna cables and a connection for the remote sensor eye, if you decide to install it.

    Indeed.

    Hi Baris,

I have the digital TV module fitted by BMW by the previous owner on my E46 M3.

Works ok when not on the move but had the car coded for TV in motion and it's crap. Is there any way to sort this out without changing the whole module? It's a late 2004 car.

That depends on what it exactly has fitted to it.
