Hello all, I'm still on the committee for St Ives Festival of Motorcycles, this is my 3rd year. The Festival is in its 6th year.

I'm extending an invitation to all of the bikers on cutters to come along. We ask £2.00 entry on the door, but all the money collected will go to our charities MAGPAS Air Ambulance and The Poppy Appeal. (Unless we have expenses to pay, like that time that 3 of the tables we'd borrowed disappeared and we had to pay for them!)

We start each year with zero pence in the bank account and after the festival we share it exactly 50/50 between our charities and leave zero in the bank again.

Last year we moved to Johnsons Farm, Church Street, Old Hurst, Cambridgeshire PE28 3AF. Its a perfect spot for a bike meet and the weather forcast is sunny and 22ºC (that could change, don't hold me to it!)

We have 3 bands playing during the day, Two Brothers Racing Stunt Team will perform and there will be dealerships, trade stands, beer tent, ice cream, food, steak restaurant on site... etc etc.

This is a family event, we don't tolerate any hooning about in the village of Old Hurst, we are tightly strapped down by the health & safety malarky, but we always have a good time. In 2017 more than 3,500 motorcycles were counted in to the bike parks, last year less, because the move was forced on us last minute, but still easily 2,500 bikes.

We'd love to see you. Sunday 23rd June from 10 am to 4 pm.

I'm all of 3 miles from there... but no motorbikes. Might pop along though my 2 kids like bikes and looking at the crocodiles + if weather is kind can get decent BBQ bits

Do come over EAndy, flag me down if you see me sprinting around doing marshaling. BTW the Johnsons have built a new tropical crocodile house, its very James Bond, the kids will love it.

I'll pop across with the kids, they like it there and the donations go to a good cause. Father-in-law might can have an excuse to bring his bike out for a spin as he hardly uses it.

Hopefully weather will be kind, at the moment as you know it's either heavy rain or nice sun no in between.
