Very, very happy to be back in an E92 Melbourne red, manual.

Got it a few weeks back from a fellow cutter, Lee (m13lrw). Credit to the man he knows how to keep a nice car and I know it must have been hard to let let this one go.

I had a Silverstone E90 M3 (MT again) a few years back and never really bonded strongly with it. Had a few cars inbetween most recently a DSG Golf R (in red) which I really enjoyed but always had this nagging feeling; what if I had done the exhaust mod on the M3?? what if it had been red?? Plus I was missing a manual.

Lee has this one well sorted, so I made the trip up north from kent, just knowing it was going to be a great car. It's had a few mods already:

Performance friction 2 piece discs on the front, oem rears
    Brembo Hp2000 pads all round
Lowered on Eibach springs, shaved top mounts and e36 bump stops
    Clubsport gearknob and gaitor
    Clutch stop mod
    AG Wheels with Vredstein tyres
Paul the welder 2.5 mod and decat
Flat bottomed and retrimmed steering wheel
    Facelift rear lights (coded in)
Various other bits of coding (lights on with key etc)
OEM BMW Carbon rear spoiler and front splitters

Also had the rod bearings, both actuators and ABS pump done so basically well sorted.

So lucky for me, the love afair with red continues :) A wash this morning and a drive out for a few pics. I've no idea how to use a camera properly so I'm experimenting.

Next to the petrol heads best kept secret ;)

Thanks Si. Im strongly considering going for a supercharger.

I bought the car with this in mind. It was either spend money modifying the golf or get this and charge it. I wasn’t sure that the golf was going to be the right platform for me longer term and had this nagging feeling to get back in an M car.

Now that I’ve got i, I suppose I have been contending with a few doubts about the charger. Just really enjoying it for what it is, especially with the exhaust mods. That said I can’t be doing with my own continual thought process about the charger - ‘shall I? Shan’t I?’ so I think I’m just going to go for it.

I've just pinched my dads Nikon DSLR camera mate. It's an old one - D3100. Just playing around on manual mode with different shutter speeds and aperature settings. I've been taking quite a few pics though just to be able to select some decent ones. All part of the learning curve.

Following Horico's thread (who bought Keith's monte) I copied his bluetooth solution for my music. Really pleased with how it works.

Anyone know what this option is?

    S677A HiFi System Professional DSP

Sound system quality seems way better then on my previous E90 M3 which had a standard system. Is this standard or something more?

I fancy some different exhaust tips. Current ones are oem painted black and look pretty good but going to give these a try

It turns out changing the tips isn't as easy as I had hoped. Each one held on by 4 rivets. Took the head off the bottom two and used an oil filter wrench for grip but can't get them off. Looks like I need to drop the whole back box unless anyone has any suggestions.

I've always said I'd never have a red car again, but yours is changing my mind! Very nice. Good to see silver wheels on it too.
