And talk bollx as they all do.
But the good news is there are plenty of houses out there who will do better than that and happy to underwrite most Porsches due to their good residuals.
Porsche dealers are generally arseholes at a business level even if the people are nice - some of their selling practices in the U.K. are downright * competitive and aren’t tolerated in Germany and the US.
* oops edit - ANTI competitive !!
Agreed on all counts, some of the dealers haven’t got a clue about their products either. BMW far better in this regard and my experience. Was reminded just how expensive all things Porsche are, when I called in last week, one of the reasons I knocked them on the head last time . Exactly the same battery conditioner, was very nearly double the price I paid for the M5, why ?.
Well you only live once Bob ...... !! Both cars are epic .
Can't believe I am getting backchat on talking bollx from an M5 driver. You should be more focused on 1) selling your car; and 2) cleaning your falsers.
They won’t budge Simon , not a chance on the cars we like and Totally forget discount . I didn’t get a penny off either , they know they will sell them .
I much prefer Porsche’s business ethic to maintain value in their products than BMWs of sell as many as poss ....
F—k our loyal customers !
I will happily pay 6.8 % and get no discount knowing everytime I get it out the garage another £500 hasn’t vamooshed From its value .
I agree 100% as to the way they keep values up is good for all and as you say helps the punter in the long run.
But ... When they come out and bare faced tell you that taking their finance gets you extra points as a customer meaning you will be moved up the ladder for GT and other high demand cars that’s downright naughty !
Absolutely agree with the second part , it’s not right or fair , Same with Rolex .
I guess if your in “The select few” great .... if not there is plenty to be aggrieved by !
Just read your post regarding your wife .. hope she makes a full recovery and has a restful holiday .
That’s very kind of you, thanks Sir.
Downright illegal too!
the way you win with Porsche is the residuals are high so keeps the figures low.
Compared to the 718 ... my 981 sounds like it’s already got a proper zorst! Think I’m going to change Zorst tips though .
Have you joined any Porsche forums yet ?
yeah they sound great stock tbf
No , don’t think I will bother although I’ve used them for info . How about you ?
Joined a few, back in the day, but didn’t find them as informative or as social as others.
pure GT is probably best of the lot for Porsche info and social scene
The problem with the M5 or 911 or anything that does 0-60 in approx. 3 seconds is that...the faster they are the sooner the fun is over before you are doing licence losing speeds...sometimes think perhaps something like an E36/E46 would be more daily fun simply because it takes longer to get to those speeds but still exciting and fun...
for me i used to buy cars that either looked good or are cars that set performance bench marks, with the 911 it actually makes me feel something no other M or AMG car has ever done, its a bit hard to explain but cant see me going back to either brand plus the whole buying experience was night and day improvement over the other 2
