Was rear-ended so need new bumper and a few bits and pieces underneath, BMW Tamworth did it in their own bodyshop. Colour match on bumper was perfect with the surrounding metal panels. The car is 2.5 years old so not brand new paint either. So SSii can be matched.
    cheers

Thanks for all your help and advice bud, carrier being the metal panel behind? I'll get underneath and check it, don't think it will be as I was reversing at crawling speed, but yeah worth checking. I'll drop you a PM to get more information etc and take from there

Thanks, BMW Tamworth isn't too far so will get a quote from there also. Car wasn't rear-ended, I crept into a bollard while reversing very slowly, so hoping its just a bumper repair and panel behind should be ok.

OP as I discovered there are lots of plastic clips etc that break so just check those. Am sure as you were crawling speed, it should be minimal so mebbie a couple broken. Mine was a bit harder and had broken lots of wee things as the bumper carrier was buckled and the lower boot slam panel had moved in as well. But Tamworth body shop did a great job and sent a million pics of all damage before and then when fixed. So for me all was sorted with minimal hassle. cheers

Cool will have it fully checked out, did you do the same as in reverse into a bollard, or did someone go into the back of you or the likes?

Nah for me it was Rumanian George the Amazon van guy not paying attention as the M62 backed up, I slowed down, sadly young George used me to slow down so as to save on brake pad wear and tear. Hey ho, one of these things, I was traveling home after visiting a good pal, whom had just found out she had terminal breast cancer and was counting the days until check out. So it kindo kept it all in perspective, some bent plastic and metal. Hardly the end of the world.
Sadly I attended her funeral 6 weeks later.

Speak to Phil at Sytner Oldbury bodyshop. Tell him Stuart sent you with the M5/M4.

    He will look after you.

My M5 was perfect when i got it back.

I’d use BMW aswell. I haven’t got experience of Tamworth but I did use Sytner Leicester to replace my rear bumper on my SSII M4 in 2017. Perfect match and I would 100% recommend them ....... and I am fussy

Reading additional posts it seems people who used Sytner have many positive experiences

Thanks Scott, did they had to spray just the bumper or did they spray up on to quarter panels too? Hoping I don’t need a bumper replacement, but in case I did I’m wondering if the bumper alone can be sprayed and it matches up to the quarter panels perfectly?

I had a replacement bumper only mate. I would not agree to them blending into any other panel. I didn’t want anything else touching at all. The match was absolutely spot on even to account for the difference in respraying on the plastic bumper to match the aluminium of the main body panels. Top job.
