    Hi All,

I bought my M4 around May time and I love everything about it. I've bought ACS springs after reading a few threads on here, it seems like these are reliable and the most subtle option.

Im booked into Ecotune in Glasgow to get my springs fitted next month. They have advised I replace the top mounts at the same time as the spring change out. I do appreciate their advice and I would appreciate if any of you guys could advise on this.

Does anyone have the OEM part number for top mounts? They quoted £115 each from BMW?

    Is there a better option?(aftermarket)??

    Cheers

    Steve

Thanks for the reply Mark. Do you think I'm best just going with the new springs on the current top mounts?

As far as I'm aware the cars suspension is sound. It was BMW approved when I bought it.

The guy at Ecotune did said he was only advising as he put springs on his 335d and then had to replace the mounts due to knocking.

The front springs are so easily changed, I’d swap the springs and take it from there, I’ve not heard of anyone needing top mounts, even on the US forum

Cheers Mark. I couldn't find anything on it either, was searching the forums all yesterday. I told the garage to just go ahead and book me in to fit the springs and I'd do some research. Thanks for the reply.

Kev I'll keep you posted on here with how I get on with the ACS install. I'll try get some decent before and after pictures. The car is also getting 12mm spacers all round, black side grills/front grills and I've managed to get a good deal on a CG precision valve controller. That'll keep me happy for a while.
