Be careful people!!!
Its a mindfield, my mate bought a so called "V9 Superclone" Daytona, and its very very good, almost indistinguishable to the naked eye, and even the movement is copied to almost perfection and has a 3 day power reserve !!
Its not real though and the only one getting fooled is the owner !!
Id never wear fake jewellery or clothes, yet im more than happy to run replica wheels. I guess that makes me weird or a hypocrite? Funny where we all draw the line in different places.
Replica jewellery says a lot about a person. If you cant afford it dont imitate it.
We all imitate wealth. All of us. It’s just all relative to our status, what we imitate
Don't agree. I have what I have, no more no less, just what I have.
Agreed. Plenty of people financed up to their eye balls.
I had a fake Rolex... was an excellent purchase. It taught me after 20yrs of using my mobile phone to tell the time.... I would continue to use my mobile phone to tell the time.
Saved me a fortune... and I made £30 selling it on.
It's sad if people do. I frankly couldn't give two f**** what people think I am or arent worth because both me and them are ending up in the same place.
why do we feel the need to wear and have designer products, if we don’t want to have a perception of wealth?
take a watch, they all tell the time, yet some choose to wear a £10,000 watch. (Not knocking it by the way)
It’s just a fact.
I completely agree. I couldn't give a toss what anyone thinks I have, or haven't, got in terms of 'wealth'. I'm sure a lot more people are like us too.
For luxury toys, I try and stick to this, if you can't afford to buy it 3 times, you shouldn't buy it once, so many people buy things that there bank balance would disagree with, keeping up appearances, keeping up with the jones or just peer pressure (at any age)
Thing is, nowadays, nobody could afford anything by that rule. Well, I’m talking people under say, 40 years old. Saving anything is nigh on impossible these days. Living costs a fortune. Only way most can afford a luxury treat is over 48 months. Sadly I can include myself in that category. Although I’m happily mortgage free, so a lot luckier than most.
My mate wears fake Rolexes all the time even though he can afford as many high class watches as he likes.
He says it gives him a kick as people think it must be genuine if he's wearing it.
I've told him he's a tit
I hear what you are saying, but whats the point in doing well in life and pushing yourself to do better / or be better, if its not to be able to have nice things / holidays or cars.
If there was not nice things to aspire to have, to work for we would all be retarded Dole Sroungers would we not !!
I’m not knocking anyone Lee, I think people are reading my words as a critique, it’s just a fact. It’s basic psychology.
The reason why we aspire to own things is we perceive it as achievement of wealth. It’s just the way we are wired up.
I was not knocking either so forgive me if it came across that way, but an achievement of wealth, doing well, pushing yourself, wanting to do better, is what its all about surly.
A Vulgar display of wealth, well thats another thing altogether (House wifes of Cheshire / Bervely Hills / Cvntsville etc) the two should not be mixed up.
I was more highlighting the people knocking others for only doing what we all do, it’s just relative to our worth.
I get that, we in the UK do like to knock success though, genuine success that is, not Silver spoon stuff, we just do. I like seeing people do well and have nice things. Just makes me try harder !!
Agree I have what I have and I'm v happy
I could have alot more but come 29th Nov I retire
Time to spent it
