    Folks

I have a turner camber plate mounted onto a front me strut

How do I remove the 19/20mm top nut as it moves with the strut.

I have limited tools with me but need to remove the Camber plate asap!

    Any tips?

U need to use a box wrench and an allen key to hold the strut. U could put vise grips to the strut rod but use something to stop it getting marked.

Impact gun is quickest and easiest, or a set of grips on the very top of the damper rod where it's never going to slide past the seals so doesn't matter too much if it get marked.

Or use a special half open socket

If they're top adjustable dampers there often isn't anything to grip onto.

For standard dampers I've ground two flats onto the top of a 21mm socket so I can use an adjustable spanner on it and put an hex wrench through the middle.

Putting a ratchet on it and giving it a sharp blow with a hammer might be enough to crack it loose.

If you have a spark plug socket in the correct size with an external hex try that. Like Harry suggests you can then put an allen key in the end and turn the socket with an adjustable crescent.
