I was wondering is any tell tale signs that my car has been remapped? It has had an exhaust mod, lowered 30mm, 20” rear 763m and a carbon kit.
The car sounds amazing even when cold, it pops and gurgles and auto blips. I’m really happy with it but not knowing if it’s been remapped is starting to do my head in.

Check your power gauges in the display. A good remap will have higher values showing.

If it burbles the chances are it's had a remap, the earlier cars didn't have pops/burbles

What do you mean by traction issues as mine is a 2015 with a BM3 stage 2 map and it's planted with no traction problems.

Depends what car you are coming out of, but if it’s feels slow and un-exciting, it’s not been remapped. If it feels like it has some get up and go, then It has been remapped ...

    However:

    is far better advice.

Although if the gauges still read 480/480 that is not a definate sign that it hasn't been remapped.

Some remaps will struggle to read over 400bhp on the gauges and others will pin the gauges at 480/480, both are a give away that it has been remapped.

If it burbles on lift off then I believe that would indicate a remap as I take it yours is a non-cp being 2015 car.

    Yes it’s non CP.
i Spoke with the previous owner and he says that it has not had a map on it. Still plenty fast though. I was thinking about getting it to CP/ GTS spec, but I’m worried that a remap of any kind would **** the turbos

I waited until the car was out of warranty and then put the BootMod3 stage one off the shelf map on. I guarantee you it will put a smile on your face. Smooth power delivery and still sometimes have to pinch myself at how fricking quick the car is. BootMod3 is real easy to use and that's coming from a tech dinosaur! I've had zero issues.
