Started cutting out today, first was to spread the leather and check for marks, scars etc.Well happy as the leather is great with few marks.
Then was to place the templates on and work out the my economical way to cut out with least wastage.
The card templates were held still with weights while i chalked round them ready for cutting.
once i was happy i started cutting using scissors rather than a blade just in case i didn't make a costly mistake!

Once everything was cut out i've pieced up each seat ready for sewing.
Then i saved the logo piece to take to the embroiderers,i have gone for the ///M logo in silver cotton, which will be ready to pick up next week!
Once back i will continue my thread hopefully everything will go to plan!?

Ok guys back on,update on covering backs,
So first thing was to clean them down and remove the vents.
Then cut the alcantara to size ready for trimming, making sure i have enough to cover the backs.
Apply a even coat of high strength spray glue and slowly pressing down taking the contours and rubbing out and bubbles or creasing.
Once happy with the finish i started trimming all the edges taking care to make sure that they are all glued down!
Well happy with the finish and glad i did it as it makes the look more expensive
    lol!
Will be starting sewing them up soon and will be twinned needled around the edges to make it look a quality job!!
In the mean time here's a taster of what to expect(just laid a few panels on!)
Thanks for looking and keep watching!
