    Hi

I am looking for recommendations for someone to weld my subframe for me. Redish motorsport are no longer doing them so I’m looking for another garage with the skills to do the job. Anyone have any recommendations please. Thanks in advance.

ETA motorsport near brands hatch. They weld the cracks and popped spot welds, reinforce and add a strengthening 'vince' style brace in the boot for £1100 ish.

    Very happy with mine!

Dan at BMP conversions in Norfolk is very good too.

I've worked on a car that was done by ETA and wasn't totally impressed with the welding and underseaking to be honest

I’m thinking of waiting for Redish to offer their RACP service again.

It’s not exactly a job you want done in a bodge fashion.

ETA motorsport offer two options , first option is £700 which is the standard reinforcement with plates spot welds and so forth and there’s the other option (which I’d go for) of having the panel cut open as well and having the Vince brace fitted which in total comes to £1,100 all inclusive

I spent ages looking around at this and decided to go to Gosling Racing after a lot of recommendations on here. Car is going up this weekend, looking forward to getting it back on the road.

I think he means thats ETA do the the whole repair in 1 day so under seal & paint etc not fully dried.

I also saw in a few pics on here that they don't even drop the whole subframe or the fuel tank, but saying that they have a really good rep and most people don't worry to much about the underside etc

From what redish have told me I don’t think they will be doing these again. Gutted as they are not far from me either. I wouldn’t hold your breath on that one.

Well from what he said on the phone is they are no longer offering the service because the amount of time spent doing the job and what they charge they are losing out on money. I even offered to pay the full amount of hours taken to do the job. He said no more RACP work being taken for the foreseeable future. Shame as there work ive seen is unbelievable.

WeldTech in Bristol do fantastic work and are well worth a look. I have some photos of their work on my instagram @Psiddy81 if anyone is interested.

The owner, a guy called Lewis knows his stuff and has worked with Redish on these in the past.
    Give him a call on:-
