I’m actually not. I don’t like the MPSS at all.
I’m running , of all things, PS2’s on the front. It was an experiment tbh. So far though in the cold, wet, generally crap road conditions, I’m very impressed with them. But at some point I will definitely try PS4S’s on the front too. They’re just so good at the back.

Is that not what makes these cars great. They demand the utmost respect and concentration, they need to be driven rather than driving themselves.

I'm running AC SCHNITZER springs and with the car set to sport on the dampers, the car feels brilliant. The front gives so much feedback, my CSL was not that much better.

I have got Eibach lowering brings. Upon hard acceleration, the front seems to dance a little bit. I want it to feel like on train tracks, just as my previous e46 330ci. Having said that, the previous owner stuck new PS4s on the front and apparently this affects the steering feel.

I have a set of B16 damptronics coming which I am looking forward to installing.

I'm looking for a new set of rears for my M4, my car isn't a competition pack so standard alloys (437M) so is someone able to confirm the correct front & rear sizes so I can do some research and make sure I'm buying correctly?

I'm tempted to go PS4S on the back - where do most people buy from?

I don’t bother, never have done on this or my previous 2 BMW’s. But some do & will say that’s the way to go.

Watched this video last night and was surprised the grip this 1000bhp M5 had on ps4s - rated them better than r888s on the road due to not being able to get heat into them

For those having grip issues they attribute to choice of tyre as opposed to the general conditions...

When was the last time you had a "proper" 4 wheel alignment done by someone who has a good reputation for alignments as opposed to general mechanical work?

Correct alignment settings are critical on a powerful RWD car. Not looking to poke anyone specific in the eye but I never cease to be amazed by people that will spend big money on a car and not bother getting it set up correctly.

Just got mine aligned....still loses traction when it comes on boast but as you say....it's the weather and road conditions that are poor. Only way to get power down would.be 4wd..but then you would lose the fun.

100% agreed - at some point the laws of physics come into play such that the best tyre for the conditions and correct alignment settings can't overcome the lack of grip resulting from the temperature and the road surface. But a correct alignment helps get the most from what is available.

I had careful alignment setups make big differences to the wet weather grip on my Z4MC and my E61 M5. It's more than just getting all the numbers within spec; it's trying to make left and right match as closely as possible so that the rear wheels aren't fighting one another as the road surface changes and/or the grip varies.
