The pre-lci weren’t called icons. They were called adaptive led’s. I fitted them to my f36. Brilliant lights. One of the brightest headlights I’ve ever experienced on a car. Much brighter than the xenons factory fitted to f36.

Have you something to prove this? I’ve never seen them referred to as icons. I have a brochure from 2014 and they are just called adaptive led on that??Incorrect they were actually indeed called Icons on the BMW configurator. People just seem to think the icons are the new generation
