    Help!

Ive just moved house to a lovely area with a nice secure garage that only has access via a private road! my problem is I checked my postcode for insurance group and it is THE worst band possible, and I mean the bottom! Band F out of F. I couldn't figure it out as around me the house value is high and lovely houses with nice surroundings and low crime rate in this neighborhood.

I then proceeded to buy a nice new table, found that it was also within my area code... ohh dear... it seems im on one edge of my postcode whilst on the opposite end is a complete pit of council terror.

has anyone ever appealed their postcode or such? my actual local area and all surroundings are brilliant! but it seems my code stretches just that bit too far and is brought down massively.

it has went up almost double!

just checked with my friend who lives 1/4 a mile away from me and his postcode insurance group is D, that's two levels better for 1/4 of a mile!

Almost every postcode in Crewe is a lower risk than Chester.....

..... maybe it's claim value and nothing worth stealing in some areas

That's sickening - I thought I had it bad at £800 for 33, 10yr NCB in SW London.
