stunning work and thats the way to add substantial thousands to the value of a car
Thank you very much!
Thank you Raj!
Love the Merc, can I ask how you sourced the AMG bumpers? Also do these W221s have much issues specially with the air suspension? Thanks
Stunning collection! Maybe we need a picture of all of them parked together in your man cave?
If you need help driving them give me a shout, will gladly borrow any of them over a weekend
I bought them from someone on Ebay, he was putting his car back to oem, side skirts I got from someone else.
All Mercedes with ABC suspension have issues at some point. My car had it done at Mercedes some time ago just under £4k .
The s class has always been the car that was 10 years ahead of any other car manufacturer ( so I've read ) which means they are complicated but just like every other car out there, they all have their problems, just some cars are cheaper to fix than others
Lol I think that would be great if I could take pics of all the cars together but I have 2 garages to park some of the cars and they are not next to each.
Only just come across this, think I recognise the username from an old forum
Amazing cars, there is clean, then there is clean!
Really enjoyed this thread, good effort!
Thank you guys for your comments, really appreciate them.
Because I'm a bit silly, I went and bought another e46 m3! It's an individual model, Le mans blue with white leather. One of those buys that you don't think too much about it and then think did I really need it?
Its nearly done now but I'll make a thread about this car soon. I've done a lot of work to it in the last 2 months
Here's 2 pic's for now
Loved the thread and your taste in cars and attention to detail
That is a corking combination!!
WHERE DID YOU FIND THIS?!! LMB is my dream colour, you jammy bugger!
Nothing new has been done to the S600 but I recently drove to Europe with the car.
I was actually set on taking the M3 but the M3 wasn't quite ready so I decided to take the S600.
Now I love my M3's but for this trip I couldn't have taken a better car! It was this trip that made me realise what an amazing car the S class is!
Even though its lowered and on 21's it's still such a smooth car to drive.
A full tank just driving around tow I could get no more than 150miles -170 miles and it costs £110 to fill it up but to my surprise cruising at 75mph - 80mph I got 500 miles from a full tank! who would have thought you could get that mileage from a V12 Twin Turbo?!
Once I was in Germany, it was very difficult to stick to 70mph - 80mph
I've had this car for a year now or so and it still surprises me the way it pulls for such a big car but you can't really open it up on the UK roads. In Germany though it's a different story! The way this car picks up from 100mph to the limiter it's something that you have to experience to get a real feel of how fast it picks up speed! I loved driving on the autobhan.
I didn't manage to get a pic when it hit the limiter as my wife wasn't too happy I was doing those speeds even though she was sleeping most of the time she had no idea I was doing 160mph until I mentioned it to her and her eyes were constantly looking at the speedo afterwards and no more sleep
I had a few decent cars that wanted to have a little play but unfortunately I didn't see the sort of cars i was hoping i would find in the autobhan.
The car got so much attention in France, Belgium, Germany and Amsterdam. I didn't drive it much in Amsterdam. First time I went to Amsterdam and I'll be honest it's the last time for me. I guess it's one of those places that you can enjoy if you're single and go with friends? Maybe there's nice places in Amsterdam and we just didn't do much research what to do and where to go
Anyways, it's only appropriate to post some pics .
The M3 was left to get some more work done to it while I was away
This is the dirtiest the car got, this is dirty for me
After nearly 1000 miles the car averaged 22.3mpg which I thought was decent for a V12
I took this pic after driving from London to Folkestone, 100 miles and it was showing range over 400 miles
At times you'd think theres a hole in the tank lol
Using lorry parking spaces to make sure no one parks too close
Once in Germany, I actually went and washed the car . What can I say, OCD!
Somewhere in Germany
Everyone is so disciplined in Germany. At first I didn't realise why everyone pulled to the sides of the road and left the middle empty and few mins later I saw the police car flying past. I've been to Germany a few times but I had not seen this before. If only in uk the standard of driving was as good! As soon as i was back in uk, after 5 mins of driving I got upset with so many idiots on the road. Saying that, in France and Belgium they're not much better!
The only pic I have giving it some and it was in fourth gear at this point
Also you can see how quickly the range drops when you give it some. In uk cruising at 70mph and with less fuel in the tank it showed 400+ miles and in Germany, nearly full tank it showed range 260+ miles and this was with the high octane fuel they sell in Germany. I wish we had it here in uk as well but just under €2 a litre it's a bit expensive to say the least!
Awesome! Looks fantastic and I would agree with you that you took the right car. Must be a lovely place to cruise and when the time comes you have all the power you need.
Hows your new M3? I never commented on your other post but it looks fantastic, the type of car you don’t really want to use and get dirty.
Op you certainly know how to make all your cars look fantastic
Stunning! All of them!
You really do go to town on your cars. A real credit to you.
Thanks a lot!
I'm ashamed to say it but I haven't driven the M3 since i took the pics as the weather has been rubbish
I need to be a bit more sensible though but I get carried away every time I get a different car
