    I had gloss black wheels on a M3 CP some years ago, and the wheels were so shiny you couldn’t appreciate the edges of the wheel design

    Gloss black looks good for a few months but will look swirled and rubbish after a few months. Satin for me :)

    I’ve ordered ORM front grilles and side gilles inngloss black....wheels being stripped next week. I might get an Akra and then she’s done.....my car next :p

    Well the chrome is going bit by bit and i have to say I'm happy with the results. The front grilles were an absolute b4stard to get off. In the end i just ripped them out, snapping the originals in the process. This became the adopted technique for the side gills too, although unfortunately there is a fault with the performance ones and I'm awaiting a replacement from BMW (had a right nightmare with this today).

    The exhaust is a bit of an issue as the exhaust tips are apparently welded in place, so death to the chrome tips is on hold whilst i think of a solution (come one Davey). One option is the 6k Akra :eek: Chrome aside i believe PCW has carried out a sound mod on this car, so i will make contact with him to see what he can offer.

    Another 400 miles are needed before i can really open the taps, but with a temporary level of right foot restraint, combined with sports setting on the dampers it defies its natural criticism. In summary a belter of a car....where's the snow :mutely:

    Definitely looks better mate. Just the darker wheels should finish it off nicely. A few pennies required for the Akra though. If you’re considering that I’m guessing you’re really pleased with the X5M then.:thumbsup:

    You made me laugh reference "I ended up ripping them out" :muttley: they were a bugger on the M4.

    Clearly it’s different John, but in a positive way. A good all rounder, bar the fuel economy

    Mate...the red mist descended and I just lost it. Massively stupid on reflection but no harm done
