I know a lot of people have recommended using pears soap but I am gob smacked with the results. Over the years I have used lots of products, gliptone, leather wipes ect, how can something so cheap give outstanding results hands down. My seats are like new completely a matt finish.
I wiped the seat down with a microfiber cloth with warm water, then lathered the seats with pears soap using my hands.
I then used a small nail brush in circular motions, lightly. Rinse off with a microfiber cloth in clean hot water. Then dry off with a fresh dry cloth. I have not conditioned it, as I have nothing to do it with. May just leave it as is.

I’ve heard all about this and managed to source all the required bits, including some Auto Glym leather conditioner.

    I’m just pacing myself...

Post an image or two.

I only used my hands to massage the soap in, then wiped off gently with damp microfibre cloth.

Interesting! Will give it a try next time

Dr leather spray + a brush was always 10x better than gliptone etc for me so stuck with it for the past few years

+1 for Pears but do remember to treat with a conditioner afterwards as it can strip away the oils. I did my 993 wheel and was amazed to find some grain in the leather that I had not noticed before!

    Cheers,

As caveman says you should always condition the leather after as pears glycerine based it’s kinder to the leather but still needs to be conditioned after. Best way I use is to put rubber disposable gloves on and work the conditioner into the seats by hand as you can get into all the nooks and creases. Apply liberally and then leave it for an hour or so (longer is better) then buff off.

Cleaning leather is simple, you need a degreaser and a mechanical device, like a brush with semi firm bristles.

pears probably works well as it’s a soap/degreaser. I usually use APC, soft brush on light soil or stiffer brush on heavy soil.

You do not, I repeat do NOT need to condition anything. It’s a painted surface, the leather is underneath. It just makes them slippery shiny and greasy.

gliptone is god awful stuff and stinks to high heaven.
    AG works ok..

best one out the bottle I have found is Carbon Collective, sealer is fantastic!

If you are thinking of using Gliptone conditioner just be careful not to use too much. Mine didn't seem to be absorbed by the seats that much and just left a sticky surface.

It took ages to dry too. Even after two days i was having to rip my self off of the seat to get out of the car :muttley:

    Good on the corners though
