These threads are great - I've said it before but it's very heartening to know that someone can repair the floor if BMW don't and to such a high standard with it fully documented. If only BMW themselves were concerned with these demonstrations of customer-centric prioritising.

    Keep up the good work!

Will be after to have this done in a few weeks and a few extras

I know it will be a 250 mile round trip to drop it off worth while and then the same again to pick it back up.

Can you please give me idea of cost. I don't need this repair, but its good to know if and when this happens what the cost will be.
    Many Thanks

Very impressed. The thread is as professional as the work itself.

Great to see all the details that go into a job like this.

Brilliant thread and you have a good eye for detail James.

I'm really impressed by the work you have very nicely documented over the last two threads and its clear to see how effort has been put into producing your reinforcent plates.

I noticed that you make no mention of injecting the sub frame with resin and wondered if you consider it to be unecessary?

Ball park figure is £1000 plus any extras you go for, eg powerflex bushes etc.

Will send you a pm on Monday from my Redish account with further details mate.

Does this mean you no longer cut through the boot floor from the top to install plates ?

Not sure what you mean mate, the plates were not installed by cutting the boot floor from the top, the boot floor was only cut to add a strengthening weld to the rear floor panel, however this is no longer required, but can be done as an additional option, our kit does have the plates needed to blank the hope this would leave.

    Awesome standard of work, James.

As good as anyone anywhere I'd say.

Having spent a lot of time in the States where their fabrication work is top notch, I don't think it gets any better than that, not at BMW or anywhere.

    Hi,

How much is it including the power flex kit? Also if the car doesn’t have any cracks (unlikely I know) would that effect the total cost? My front drivers sill is also corroding is this something you could look at?

    Thanks

I think currently Redish have stopped doing this repair, not sure why but they still supply the plates I believe !
