For a few months now my passenger side speakers have been dead with once in a blue moon sound coming out of them, I also get intermittently but once every couple of days horrible fuzz interference sound coming through the speakers whether the radio is on or off

How much is this to fix and what does it entail?

    Thanks

    Simon

    Hi Simon

This is a common fault with these units and perfectly repairable with better parts. The sound will be improved and much more reliable.

Here is the link to my website for the repairs and upgrades http://www.carphonics.co.uk/bm54upgrades.htm

I’m assuming you have the sat nav system? Other systems are also repairable and upgrade able.

    Hi

left side of the boot, under the nav unit. You can move the carpet out the way from the back of the seat side and expose the bm54. It’s normally held on with 3 x 8mm bolts, which is the bracket.

Can give me a ring if you get stuck. 07958499151

    kind regards

    Baris
