My mate Andy (not on here) down in London has had his LCI M5 dynoed.
615 WHP at the wheels torque 598Ft IIbs, totally STD with 5K miles.
I asked IF he could send the results so we could see what's what.
I thought these cars were well up on BMW's figures.
    Drive line % taken out.

They do feel ungodly quick at times John, 4th gear for me is the supercar slayer. I still get out at times, stand there, look at it, and think, how the F can you do that, as to look at the car, its nothing really, but to drive it hard, is to appreciate its talents :).

Because no dyno was ever wrong?

M5 is 4WD so you're saying they're making circa 700hp at the engine? I doubt it.

Take into account that the front wheels are only driven when slip is detected at the rear wheels...so on a dyno one would imagine the car would be running in RWD only.

The car is totally bonkers regardless of dyno prints which in my humble opinion are always a bit off due to wheel spin.

They have realistically got to be between 650-700 purely on the basis of how much they weigh yet the cars they beat time after time .

Your right mine is just mental quick just squeezing the throttle, nothing quite like it, anyone not tried one go do it, you may not like what you get back in after the test drive.

Was out in mine today and it's just starting to loosen up nicely, and sounding absolutely awesome and when on it, it's just a freaking heat seeking missile...and powersliding round roundabouts (when no one else is around and its safe to do so)...it truly is a monster...

Pulled up next to a Passat full of 4 men, they opened their window to talk, sounded of eastern european origin, perhaps poland and were saying how they loved the car, and had driven the previous one (F10) and how it had so much power that it almost killed the guy telling me the story as it just spun on full throttle....must admit my F10 was fidgety, but the AWD in the F90 really does make you push it harder and imagine your chasing down schumacher or hamilton....

I was out in mine last weekend, and had a young lad pushing me along, literally nudging me, on an A road, 50mph, 60mph, 07mph, he was in a Renault Megane RS ?, so as we were approaching a longish sweeping bend, i pressed the throttle no more than half way, as im still running in, and im such a wuss, and the gap that appeared was literally ridiculous, i perhaps saw 23mph. The M5 is such a monster for sure. I would say, the other way around in my head, Hamilton trying to chase us :D.
