Looks sharp, love what’s been done so far. They are a labour of love, my 3.0 the underside is next too. Wish my rode a little higher like this one

Cheers, I only intended on doing a few small jobs but the list still seems to be growing. Headlining next on the list…

Yes that’s correct, I know it isn’t OEM to have the dish diamond cut but I think it sets them off nicely. I had an E36 convertible 20 years ago with the same wheels as yours and they were diamond cut or possibly polished from the factory. I don’t think they came in standard silver but I may be wrong

Probably a long shot but I'm trying to do the opposite with my alloyws which is go from Diamond Cut -> Painted silver! the finish on your alloys pre-refurb I actually like a lot looks like quite a high shine silver, probably a long shot but do you know if this was the original finish?

As far as I know yes it was the original finish, judging by the corrosion on the inside I woukd say they hadn’t been touched and it was the original silver. The spare still is as I didn’t get it done as used the wheel well for the stealth sub install. I can upload a close up photo if you like next time I am in the garage?

I think I may have tracked it down -> https://bimmertips.com/bmw-wheel-paint-codes/

Looks like its BMW Felgen Silver 144 but some photos of your spare would be great!

Here are a couple of shots of my spare wheel as promised. I’m 99% sure it is tff get a original silver finish. Hope that helps

Thank you for the very helpful, with your newly diamond cut wheel on the right assume it's just the lip that was diamond cut and the centers powder coated / painted silver?

Correct lip diamond cut and centers powder coated which are more metallic and look slightly darker than the original finish. Spitt & Polish in Tonbridge did a great job
