Quotes started for me at £875 for my M4, I was 28, in 2015 to now £1400 on my M3 Competition Pack at the age of 32. As I get older, the policy is increased!

Mine has gone up every year I have had my non cp M4 too Jags. Strangely, my brother has an M3 comp and it’s always been cheaper to insure despite him being a couple of years younger, but it’s worked out dearer this year - go figure!

Adrian Flux told me that unless you have owned one for at least a year then the premiums will always be high. They used to say that with TVRs years ago and i suspect it applies to most performance vehicles unless you can demonstrate what other cars you have had.
saying that, i tried a quote with the length of ownership being greater than 12 months and it made diddly squat so suspect its not true for all insurers.

I ended up getting mine for 970, 14k miles per year incl 2k business use. im 45 with 20 years no claims and mrs is 36 who is also on policy.
Owned car since Jan19, and it has Bm3 & sports steering wheel declared.

Add your brothers or sisters on your policy you will be surprised how it can reduce your premium or someone in your family with many years driving experience as a named driver.

Also don’t get insurance quotes so close to your expired policy they creep up due to your demand/need. Try getting it at least 3 weeks in advance.

Work on it over a few days you’ll be surprised how the same insurer can be cheaper the very next day.
