    Hi Andy

Mike Blackmore has suggested that I have a read of your project thread, and I'm very pleased that I have. Excellent work so far.

Answering your question about the 3 litre blocks and their 'oil in the head' I'd have to say that in the two years of competing in sprints, lots of trackdays and even a drift event, I have had no problems at all. My car runs on R888's and is used very hard indeed, so I'm confident that I'd have encountered problems by now. You can buy an oil restrictor valve (sometimes referred to as a Group N restrictor valve) from someone like Moseley Motorsport if Nigel still has any left. I know of a few lads that have fitted them and it can do no harm at all.
    ________________________

I love the design of the cage and the way that you've linked to the strut tops in the front is something that I would like to incorporate this time around for mine.

I am currently putting all of the 'decent' bits out of my track car and putting them back into a road legal shell. The emphasis will be on keeping it as light as possible, but as my track car was 1138kgs with fuel, I have a feeling I will have my work cut out.

Best of luck Andy. I look forward to following the thread.

(ps I always slightly overfill the engine oil just as a precautionary measure.)
