    Hi Guy’s,

Just want to ask if the later E46’s were ever fitted with a form of Launch Control.

I did my second sprint at the weekend and ran against a lot of high spec cars with launch control which I felt really helped them start very effectively without too much wheel spin etc and where 1 second is equivalent to around 6 places if there is any easy way to retrofit some form of Launch Control I would like to look at it. The M3 is a 2004 and manual.

It may not be possible but had to ask

    Regards

    Rich

Only the SMG cars had launch control as standard.

I believe Buildjournal have a remap that has launch control for manual, not sure how good the map is, might be worth a look.

I can do this for manual cars included in the map if people would like.

    Anymore info?

How does this work? Does it just hold the revs at a certain RPM or something?

Is this included in your standard remap price?

    Thanks

It does indeed yes and I can include it if requested, its not something I really promoted due to people being concerned about subframes.

That is an interesting point, I suppose the harder the car leaves the line without too much wheel spin will load the chassis and subframe etc. Just had the car strengthened so will keep with the standard set up
