this came past me yesterday in Carlton, Nottingham. Looked and sounded the part, excuse the poor image, taken a photo of it on my pc screen for now. Anyone else seen it or know about it, certainly a lot of effort on someone’s part

HaHa, sadly its a suburb of Nottingham thats a bit of a dump (I can say that as I live there lol).
I was a big Vauxhall fan in the 90's! I wouldn't mind a Lotus Carlton that's for sure, I used to have a poster of one on my bedroom wall, genuinely! :)

My detailer worked on this last week, he's based on Carlton Road so possibly the same day you saw it!
I just dropped him a message and said the owner has done a full conversion, including a one-off porsche-colour paint job.

Will try upload some pics on the next post...

Not too sure, he didnt mention the specifics to my mate. You'd assume a 2er vert with all M2 bits added, would be easier than converting the roof and structure etc?

I think he means which model of vanilla 2 series vert is it based on - 218i / 235i / 220d etc.

On a side note the 666M wheels and the body colour ruin it

Not my cup of tea and painted Mexico blue with 666 wheels made it even worse.

The OP said it sounded the part so it's fair to assume it's based on a M135i

It’s not based on an m2 that’s for sure. Square fuel filler cap gives the game away immediately. It’s a 135i convertible with a body kit.

I was getting all excited then... :bugeye: I'm dying for them to come up with an M2 convertible :drive1: wondering about a M240i conversion?

The car is a 240i Convertible. There is also a second white one which has just been built.

Even though it’s a 240i it still looks great. It would be interesting to insure
