What're you driving?
2002 BMW M3 SMG
Hi there

Am in the market for a rust free or not badly gone E36 M3 Saloon, would maybe consider a coupe but really want a Saloon for the benefit of carry 4 in comfort.

Am looking to buy on condition, so be happy with a 200k mile car if its good condition, ideally blue, purple or green.

Anyone know of any for sale or considering selling?

You’ve the TV one on AT presumably? Might help to indicate which sites you keep regular checks on

The one in Wigan at £30k? That’s quite a strong price. Literally round the corner from me though if anyone wanted me to view it on their behalf.

I was actually referring to one on Ebay that was at 18k in Birmingham (cant find it now) but agree 30k is bridge too far for these at present.

Gotcha. The one in Wigan does look nice and is low miles (67k), but not sure it will fetch asking price. Don't saloons typically sell for a fair amount less than coupes?

For reference, this is the one in Wigan I'm talking about: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202203223817596?radius=1500&make=BMW&onesearchad=New&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=Used&include-delivery-option=on&advertising-location=at_cars&model=M3&sort=distance&postcode=wn25te&page=1
They do but not sure why - aren’t the saloons rarer?

I’m happy for the saloon to stay under the radar - not much good comes out of increased values IMHO (increased theft, parts prices, insurance, plus ultimately less usage)

The Wigan car looks superb, i much prefer the black interior with TV versus the 18k car

FWIW, Classic Heroes priced a 60k mile red saloon at £30k this time last year, it’s still available.

When I was on the search for a saloon, I was fine with what exterior colour it was - but it had to have a black interior. Fabric or Leather, but the car got (ew30223) has superb condition black Napa, so all good.

Just reminding you of the stats:

RHD 3.0 saloon CB92 = 426 in total

RHD 3.2 Saloon CD92 = 1194 in total.

Buy on quality, not if it’s a EVO or not. I got a 3.0 which I put a e36 specific 420G 6 Speed in it, and (other than missing A little of the 3.2s low down torque which I get more top spin from the 3.0 for my troubles), really, there’s not much difference.

I stand corrected

CB92 = 415

CD92 = 694

1109 in total. That’s not a lot to chose from!
