    Let's touch base, Mr. Fett?

An Americanism that has regrettably migrated...

Erm no, let's have a conversation on a subject we wish to discuss?

Welsh equivalent; Ok Dai, time for a pre-coffee scrum..? Also NO. And, as if?

When encountered, it does my head in as well.

There seems to be a Trans-Atlantic supposition that whilst at work we're always on show. And yes, there are certain elements of all our jobs that are under audit (ion..) and scrutiny, but using buzz-phrases for whatever reason, to me demonstrates high-level non-thinking on an irrational level.

    Am I doing this right?

Treat people with respect, talk plainly, say what you mean and importantly, admit your mistakes.

    Do your job.

    Applies at all levels.

    /dismounts high-horse :D

    (for now...)

    I’m thinking out loud here

cohort = Group (in no way connected to the roman legions)
Remediation = We ****ed up and need to fix it
looking at it thought the client lens = the client wants something we done have and probably shouldn't do
a bubbling concern = everyone knows its a mess but doesn't want to deal with it
concatenate = we need to join these things together

This is too funny :) and I'm glad it's not limited to where I work. A few of play manager bullshit bingo, especially when we know we've got meetings coming up with certain people. No doubt I'll add more as we go.

    "Let's take this offline"
    "Sorry I was on mute"
"I have a hard stop at such and such a time"
    "Low hanging fruit"

and for the global conference calls..

    "Hi, who joined?"
"Can we all go on mute please"
    "Can everyone see my screen?"

Random background noises, such as traffic, other conversations, or the dreaded reverb echo where someone talking is picked by another microphone and echoed through the whole call.

    Swat analysis
    Hit the ground running
    Crunch the numbers
    "Think tank"
Pull our thumbs out of our arses

All this shît is utter nonsense. It's stuff I used to hear but since moving here and working at sea I hear phrases like

    Oi dîckhead
    Oi wánker
    Get te fûck
    Fûck off
    Fûck you
Get fûcked.......etc etc. It all works much better.
