That looks naughty! I'm not a fan of black wheels so would definitely go for a lighter colour like silver. The CSL lid really does go well on PY.

    Quick update,

Thanks from a little advice from YoungBenny,

We removed the sharkfin, it will help with the smooth look were after when the csl bootlid mod comes.

Very quick and easy to remove, probably only 5 mins but in the end spent 25 mins removing sticky residue from the original bmw double sided tape.

Slight discolouration if I’m honest yes, although it wouldn’t ever be spotted from the untrained eye.

Now that it’s exposed, the sun should fade that area also fingers crossed, or it could be another trip to the paint booth.

(Happy Father’s Day to all cutter Dads)!

Managed to get on the driveway briefly, promised I wouldn’t be long as they wanted to all go out but now the rains here I think it might be an excuse for a pj and film day.

Anyway, here’s a quick picture from today’s efforts..

I think or can only assume there’s been a high heeled passenger in the car a good few times as the interior inner sill had been grazed slightly, been on the to do list a while and seized the moment today.

New sill and 8 clips from bmw coopers.

Small updates but I enjoy doing them.

    All the best

    My old car!

Bought those wheels from Raj (Fullhouse Customs) - absolutely love them! Really work on the car

    Hey guys,

I hope you've all had a good weekend.

Luckily mine was a very car oriented one.

Managed to get my hands one some lovely looking genuine e46 rear led lights, absolutely mint)!

    Courtesy of warren on here).
    Thankyou.

We fitted these Saturday ready for our monthly meet, this took place at The rushbrooke arms in Bury St Edmunds on the 23rd.

Was an absolutely fantastic turn out guys!

Can’t Thankyou all enough for the support helping me set up these meets..

Just want to say a huge cheers to mark (who doesn’t come on here very often).
You know who you are and I owe you a drink.

Mark B came along with his trusty laptop and helped me do some coding that I’ve been after for months.

    M track mode.
    Flip mirrors.
    Full closure including rear quarters.
    Alarm chirp

    Plus a few other bits..

Needless to say I’m a very happy boy!

    Cheers guys!

Glad you had a good meet, shame I couldn’t make it but just picked my car up tonight. The tail lights look great and glad you got your coding done that you were after. I like the orange corners of the closest M3 in the first photo too.

    Cheers

Genuine question; if you rarely have passengers, let alone three rear-seat passengers, why bother installing the middle headrest? Does nothing good for rear visibility and as for looks? It’s neither here nor there. The blind is a very nice addition, especially for summer days, but there’s no way in hell I could attempt it.

Hi guys thanks for the comments.

Meet was awesome wish you could of both been there, maybe next time?!

    Nunga hi mate, good question.

Im abit of a bmw nerd and adding all the little extras keeps me busy, no reason for adding them ie practicality just me being fiddly with the car and probably spending far to much, but shhhhh! Aha, let’s keep that a secret from her indoors.

    All the best chaps,

    (Small update)..

Hope you all had a good weekend.

The misses went out Sunday which means I could get on the driveway and fiddle with the car some more.

With big thanks to a few friendly cutters who offered great advice I managed to do the rear quarter 1 touch window mod for the glass upon closing.

Took around an hour or so.

Good opportunity to clean everything whilst it’s apart too!

    More to come..

    Cheers

If you are going to be obsessed, you picked the right car/colour, I like the rear spoiler,CSL will be good as well.
I couldn't do it as I don't have the mind set but it is a beautiful car

Thanks so much for the kind comment.

Can’t wait to do more to it now, it’s nice to get busy with it when time allows.

Ever since my holiday abroad about 7 weeks ago coincidentally my central locking key hasn’t been working properly, only intermittently.

Which is rather annoying, but that and the fact I probably don’t use the car enough to charge it makes sense so i decided this week to order a new item from bmw cooper Ipswich.

Sat in the workshop parking area whilst I was handing over more hard earned cash.

But, really happy to have a brand new key, feels very nice I have to say!

All cut and ready to go!

Very easy to program the keys, the chap at coopers told me how do to it but it can also be easily seen via YouTube.

Have a great weekend guys! ;)

Thankyou so much for the msg mate.

Means a lot, I’m hoping to catch up with you at the bmw show?

I know you said you thought the car wouldn’t make it but perhaps you were going up via another vehicle?

If so and you are going let me know and I’ll come and find you.

    Evening guys,

    Hope your all well,

After giving the M3 a good wash and wax today some how when shutting boot lid at the end I seem to have lost the passenger side number plate light lense?.. rather annoyingly it fell to the floor and cracked...

    (Very random).

Cooper Ipswich had 2 brand new on the shelf from an unwanted order a few months back, so luckily enough I managed to get down and grab these.

    Evening shot..

    Thanks all!

Well you need different ones for a CSL bootlid. This would have been a perfect excuse to get that CSL bootlid you want!!! Your man maths was weak on this occasion!!!!

    Aha rosco!

    Very good educating my friend.
Slipped up there didn’t I lol!

Long story short and a rather sore one but,

Csl lid will have to be put back a bit slightly, i was going to order one from
Coopers last Thursday to get it sorted for the bmw show and the misses called me to say we lost everything in the fridge freezer and that it’s completely packed up.

I thought it was possibly the kids that had left it open and it defrosted but it was sadly it was dead.

Only had it 2.5 years, don’t make them like they ust to do they unfortunately, pretty much like most electronic items now...

    So, (More money gone)
The rainy day fund keeps getting hammered lol..

I suppose the only saving grace of it was she managed to contact me before i went spending away at bmw.

It’s next on the list (again).. promise lol!

    All the best
