Looking for a new bicycle for my 6 year old, any recommendations?

He’s learnt to ride a few months back and I’ve figured, given his size, it needs to have 20” wheels.

Hit me with your info please.

Exactly that. Buy second hand, let someone else spend the money.

    Cheers

Trying to secure an eBay Specialized Hotrock... although one that looks good isn’t too far off the RRP price.

I got the Specailized Hotrock for my son who wrecks everything. It’s now on its second child, my daughter, and still going strong. Only ever had to adjust the brakes once in 6 years. Great bike.

Hoy Bonally. Aluminium frame so it’s very light and easy to move around.

I’m finding that parents that sell them to recoup the costs for replacement bikes are such messers though... hard work which is beginning to push me towards just buying new.

Check out Vitus bikes on the Wiggle site. Great bikes and really good value for money.

Check out Islabikes a Bein 20 would be be what you want for a 6 year old and they hold there value well when you sell them on.
My lads now just turned 7 and rides 12 miles off road most weekends on his Islabike at our local trail center, great little bikes !

    Islabikes.

Buy used if poss or sell them on for 50% purchase price when your done.

The Halfrauds ones are heavy, poor handlebar position, gash brakes and wank bearings making them hard to pedal. Or so I found by my lad swapping go's with his mates bikes.

Buy a used Isla or frog would be my advice.

I’ve just done the same thing for my 5 year old and ended up buying a Frog. Extremely impressed with it.

I between doing a deal for a used Specialized Hotrock and if that doesn’t come through I’m going for a Cannondale Trail 20.

Can’t wait for him to be old enough to drive... buying cars is sooooo much easier.

Cube looks sweet, far too much money for me. If you can afford it, go get one for your nipper.
