Having sold my E92 M3 last week it was time to look at M2's! with only four colours on offer ,I hate white, silly LLB ,dont even go there! so left me with two choices, Black (which i like) or Mineral Grey , in the end MG won! Bought it yesterday ,was only 20 miles away in Bridgend too! I'd been watching it for 3 months and been to see it twice in that time too! It was in a high end car dealer on a sale or return, it went off At for a few days and I thought it was sold but last wednesday evening (2nd Oct) in a bizarre twist of fate was back listed on AT from the private seller for 2k less! that was after a 15 hour day driving to Bury St Edmunds and Horsham area looking at others! still nevermind hopefully I've got the one I wanted! Here it is taken yesterday after i picked it up, weather was awful though ,good thing was the 1/2 hour drive home was on my favourite coast road that i know inside out! It drove really well considering the wet conditions so i went a bit easy(ish) and have to say im impressed, but I've yet to drive it in the dry! Its a Dec 16 car with a few months warranty remaining along with 2 years left of a 5 year servicing package and has done 16k Here's the vehicle spec steering wheel heating (doubt I'll ever use it) Reversing camera (doubt I'll use that) Electric sunoof (havnt had one of those since E36's) quite like it! Electric folding mirrors } Harmon Kardon } The holy trinity! Heated seats } Speed limit display LCI rear lights fitted Two good option's it hasnt got are comfort access or silly black sun protection glass but bizzarley no electric seat adjustment! its manual adjustment, Im glad in a way as once you set your seat position thats it ,I find im forever messing with electrically adjustable seats trying to find the goldilocks setting! I find the 2 series seats really comfy having drove through France last month in our 220i with no issues at all, so I'm happy with the seats, although the leather would be better in nappa! Note the LCI rear lights
Straight into a couple of mods with some parts I've collected in the last few months Allways hated the open cup holders in the preLCI cars, did the same with our 220i too, bought an LCI centre console off ebay and fitted it the day I had the car! New console Old one removed with the horrible exposed cupholders in veiw new one fitted
Black grilles and exhaust tips new tips polished up old ones removed new ones fitted Bought some black grilles from a regular F22 so I just used the outers and kept my centre slats as they have the M2 badge fitted centres removed and cleaned up the outer's removed from the car Nice clean engine bay! New grilles fitted Thats it for now !
Very nice, love it straight in with the Mods lol MG was the colour I was going for as not so many about, looks very tidy
Nice mate congrats. These definately have some appeal. Look forward to hearing your thoughts after a dry day
Great car brings back fond memories. For me the sports cat by Fab speed was the best mod I did to mine . It made the turbo spool so much more vocal along with the more free flowing gases
It was around £900 and no remap required . I later added the full M performance exhaust and Wagner intercooler but the fabspeed was the best mod for me . Most noticable
Very nice. One of these in this colour past me in the opposite direction on the A427 Harbrough Rd yesterday.. looked mean and purposeful!
Love it, I think these always look fabulous on the road. Will be interested to hear your opinions on the car too as time goes by.
They are lovely - but they miss something from the rear- carbon boot lip etc would be nice also a drop in height and spacers etc
Looks awesome Kev. I was beginning to get worried this wasn’t going to happen for you with the grief you were having shifting the e92. Is there an exhaust mod you can get done on these ?
I took a deposit on the 92 a month ago, just had to bide my time with the buyer waiting on funds, should of went 3 weeks ago! anyway i had my full asking price though, ive no idea about the exhaust mod yet
