I know you will love it
Right chaps the rubber boots on the throttle boddies of a 04/05 car do not fit this box whitch ones do i need? And how did you all move the dip stick bend it?
Replied on your other thread mate , I just bent it and sat it behind the strut brace
Hose part no 11617830265. I'd put a ad up in the wanted section. Someone must have a set kicking around doing nothing. There quite pricey for what they are from BMW.
Never heard of rubber boots not fitting an airbox. What's the issue with them?
They changed late 2004 to slightly bigger ones Stu (God knows why) I only found out when fitting my CSL box to my Feb 06 plate
The sneaky buggers
Great ! Another hidden cost. How much are they
I think they're around £15 each.
Depends when your car was manufactured in 2004 mate.
I'm just lucky with my 04 as mine was built in December 03 but first registered in Jan 04
I need them sooner rather than later mate thanks for the part number will this number work at my local bmw outlet?
Yes mate, just give the numbers to your local dealers, or Cotswolds on here.
Spot on thanks mate so glad i didnt wait until next week when i have the ecu to find this out glad i made the effort to pull the old box off this morning
Just checked realoem. All m3 manufactured upto October 2004 will have the desired boots. After October 2004 they change
Anyone have a link for the dip stick assembly? Not sure if the washer goes on the bottom b4 the o ring or vise versa
You don't need to disassemble the dip stick all you do is twist it out of the way
tries that but it would not sit flush on the sump so had to pull it out heat it up and bend it slightly but in doing so lost the rubber o ring found the little washer though but just abit unsure which way around the washer a o ring sits
I wonder why BMW changed them?
Its not just them they have changes tho the trumpets on the oe airbox are bigger infact they are 23mm bigger than the ones on the csl box maybe i would have been better off with the oe box and some bigger throttle bodies?? But im guessing the noise may tel me different lol
I didnt know BMW changed the size of the boots, news to me...Cant think of why...The airboxes are all the same. Makes no sense, are we sure on this?
