I'm going to have a Mike modded Ecu with all the mods done for sale in a few weeks....
Are the ecus interchangable with other m3s? Or would it have to be coded or summat to the other car?
You will need to synchronise it to the car using inpa gt1 software etc it's easy to do if you know how
Way over my head then lol just dont get stuff like that at all
Me neither but I bought the cable and software and a bit of tuition and bingo all sorted I had to do mine as the memory was upgraded so wipe it all off so car didn't recognise the Ecu
No you don't if the ews is deleted....
Yes I know but you never said it was deleted plus that's not a good idea to delete it but everyone to there own
Some parts listed on page 1 of this sticky that I am selling.
All brand new and unused.
Right guys iv got my airbox and going to order the rest of the bits i need this week but do i need new rubber boots the ones that fit the airbox to the trottle boddies? My cars a 2005 if that makes any difference??
No lee not unless you fook them up taking them off I used my original ones with no probs although I bought new clips
Thanks mate another question did u take the rubber boots off the throttle bodies or leave them on and just pushed the csl airbox onto them? Just woundering whitch way would be easier lol
I'm sure I read that the later cars use different ones. didn't affect me as mines a 02/2002
Lol well i remember seeing the same think somewhere but thought it effected earlier modles lol
Just looked my chassis no up on realoem.com and item 2 says up to 10/2004. So they must be different on your car. I'm sure I read that to fit a GSR box you need hoses of an early car. Not sure about Karbonius boxes or 2005 cars though. Someone must know!
I put the rubbers on the Airbox first clamped them up but don't over clamp them then a tiny bit of grease on the inside of the rubbers or the throttle body to help slide them on before you get carried away make sure the clips are on the throttle body loosely and connect the pipe under the Airbox as that a right bummer to plug in once you clamp the Airbox up
The boots changed after 2004.iirc , I had to get the earlier ones when fitting my GSR CSL box to my '06 plate
Ok you learn something new mines a 52 plate so had no problems
Mmmm wounder if ill need new boots for mine then with the karb box?
There's only one way to find out
Lol well your right there but dont wanna be with out the car for an extra week not that i really use the thing like but you know what its like if the airbox is sitting there ill just want it done so i can you enjoy it
