I didn't, i have found out after 3 years about the sub-frame, despite using a local garage here that had fitted several parts underneath they didn't see the corroded brake lines nor the botched sub-frame, was the garage that i'm using in the last 2 years Perfect-touch in north London that they checked the car accurately as i have asked them and they had found the issues.

i did contact them on begin to let them know about skirts dent metal tray and bots missing etc. and they apologized and ask me to bring back the car that they will sort it out but i politely declined, was not much trust from me anymore to get the car back there, they had the car around 40 days and i'm sure they rushed the job on the last 48 hours for what i have seen on the car....

At the end of the day i have lost some money but they have lost a customer that had spent a lot of ££££ with the current garage that i'm very happy with.

Before bringing the car to biddenden i did contact Eta motorsport as they had a very solid reputation but they didn't get back to me and after several tries when i finally spoke with them i found the guy on the phone not much friendly and not much interested to work on my car...so we part ways that he will send me a quote for the jobs via email but i never received that email...i did try to give them the job!

    Shocking that mate.

Yeah I’ve heard others report about ETA’s phone mannerism not being great.

Also experienced this myself when I called them about RACP reinforcement a while ago. The chap who I spoke to didn’t seem interested to talk through the repair, unlike the other garages I spoke to.

Workmanship wise I haven’t heard many bad things about them other than someone’s diff that they packed a bunch of washers in after damaging the thread, but still for what it’s worth I wouldn’t take my car to either Biddenden or ETA.

Since i have moved to uk and i had a car i have struggled to find decent garages, before with the 2 gto's twinturbo and after with the M3, and every time some forums recommended someone it totally went sideways!
Lost shitloads of money and had anger and frustration because you spend money, you don't nag for the price, you pay and the result is a pile of **** and they even tell you that you are too fussy!
Seriously come on some so called pro garages that i visit in the past they would have issues to repair a wheelbarrow!!

The 1st to work on my M3 was Paul46 that as you know is a great guy with immense knowledge on these cars, but for some jobs you need a ramp so he suggest me to get the car checked for the leak of the rear diff and oil leak that can be dangerous, and obviously after him was not much luck on most the jobs.
Two year a go i have decided to give it a go to use Gabs and Claudio at perfect-touch trough recommendation from Amar the member here that has a M3 e46 supercharged, my car was in a sorry state, rust issues lot of noise from the rear and generally driving like ****, lost power with cell light on that turned out to be the vanos and some other issues that my local place couldn't find or won't.

And two years after my car it looks stunning and drives really nice with decent power and no noise from anywhere included the rear diff as they done a quaife conversion there, spent some money on it but the result is really good.
Very happy to drive it now passion is back on full steam :) ordered a set of Kw V2 and i just waiting to get them and to fit and try the car with that setup.
if i had met them before i would have saved some money probably, but i guess you live and learn!

I’m VERY fussy who works on my car

Had issues with my trimmer aswell causing damage etc

Don’t understand how people that pride themselves on customer care and the fact most companies operate from word of mouth can be so bad!!

I've personally only had good experiences with ETA, Matt has always been happy to talk through work and give good advice on options.

Yeh ETA was my first choice for two main reasons
90%of there work is e46 m3's and there only 15 miles from me:)
But it took them over a week to get back to me(well I had to keep calling them) and finally this morning I managed to get a quote and get booked in but last week i got abit fustrated and started calling the two other local bm specialist .
First one *Biddenden motors* seem like nice enough guys and friendliest of them all.
They got me a quick quote straight away and the cheapest of them all, but after the feedback off this post I had to cancel.
2nd was *BM SPORT in bexleyheath* qouted me way over double then ETA! for the same work? Eta would probably be able to add rod bearings in that price and ive still got change in my pocket:openfire:So I kindly declined.
ETA is hard to get through to but now I'm booked I'm happy there carrying out the work only positive reviews all over apart from no one being able to get through to them:bh:

Your profile says you're in the north but you're 15 miles from ETA, in Sevenoaks

I just booked into Eta myself, it’s a long wait as they are very busy catching up with appointments missed during lockdown.
For service and price they are the best in Kent, and I have used most of them.
Cragos- very good overall but don’t like using performance parts but fine for regular bmw,s
Biddbrough - I found them ok but access is a nightmare and the attitude of the staff needs improvement, the owner is a nice guy but seems to be putting out fires started by his mechanics.
D&t wise - very nice guys, good workmanship bit pricey
Bm sport - just a rip off, massive price for the most simple of jobs
H&c - really good service, nothing is too much problem but are more expensive than Eta.
