    Hi folks,
Here is the start of my progress thread, I have alot of ideas and alot of things I want to do to my car to get it the way I want it. Its an smg imola red with black leather, 80,000 miles, I have fallen in love with the smg system, such a pleasure to drive and so much fun.Got it home yesterday and managed to give it a wash when I finished work today. I have already been shopping and bought some bosch aero wiper blades, some cup holders and some interior lights to bring it into this century. I'll keep you updated and let the photos speak for themselves, sorry about the poor quality, my phones camera is infersted with dust.

My smoked tail lights came and fitted them yesterday, really happy with them. Fitted white LEDs to interior, number plate lights and side lights. Looks good. Waiting on black wing grills and black kidney grills and need to fit my
M3 badge too. Getting it reinforced shortly then it will be back to buying goodies.

    Hi folks,

So I have ordered my Reddish Motorsport plate kit so that will hopefully happen soon. Put my badge on, replaced my wing grills for black ones and was going to change my kidney grills but stupidly, after a few scratch of the head moments, I realised I ordered saloon grills so will have to wait for coupe ones to come. Here's so far...

    Hi folks,
So I removed my interior trim to get wrapped in gloss black, I was looking forward to the results but unfortunately it turned out shocking. I'm in the middle of trying to get my money back and I have been speaking to shadys carbon and I'm sending my trim there after I get my money back. I got my back three windows tinted with 55% film by Auto Ausylum in Maidenhead, very impressed. I also got my front seats, steering wheel and drivers door card recoulered and cleaned by LHC Upholstery, very impressed with that too. Ordered a new head unit while my dash trim is off and a momo gear knob too. Hope you like...

Wow, the leather looks amazing! My steering wheel needs a touch up. Good luck with the trim

How much did you pay for the seas to re-dyed? Did they also heat shrink the leather to get rid of the sag and creases? They look great.

Imola is such a nice colour but I'm really not a fan of the lights and other styling mods, makes it look cheap and tacky IMHO.

Yea I'm pleased with it, it's come up well.

I paid £200 for the 4 bolsters, steering wheel and a patch on the drivers door card to be re dyed and all the leather cleaned. I'm not sure what other "styling mods" you mean as I havnt done a huge amount. Cheap and tacky is my opinion of chrome so each to their own I guess.

    Cheers

Wow, they did an excellent job on those seats!

Please show more - I hate the black gloss/oil look on some refurbs, yours have the perfect matt-like finish

I'll post more photos when I get my trim back and fitted. My front discs were shot so I tackled that this weekend. I fitted stoptech drilled discs and pads. While I was doing it I thought I would do a bit of painting, while I was doing it I started to regret my decision but now they are fitted they look okay, just have to do the back ones too.

Hi folks, thought I would give you a wee update. As you know my interior is in bits due to getting my interior trim wrapped so I thought I would use this opportunity to order a new double din headunit, little did I know what I got myself into! So it arrived and I got to work routing the gps and dab antenna, I then pulled out my oem unit and that's when I discovered the lack of an iso plug. Started reading on here and the words that came out of my mouth were "nothing is ever easy" So I started stripping the carpet and other useless boxes out of my boot and got to the point where I am now waiting on my extension pieces. Because it's a BMW specific headunit, it came with the flat 40 pin quadlock, so I have had to buy a 40 pin quadlock to male iso, 5m extension, female iso to 40 pin quadlock and finally use the 40 pin quadlock to headunit. A bit of a ball ache but needs must. Sorry there are no photos, I usually get too frustrated at jobs like this to remember but when everything is here and I can crack on, I'll try and remember.

    Cheers

    Hi folks,
So my first adapter and 5m extension arrived today, just waiting for my second adapter and 5m aerial extension. I thought I would carry on getting ready for when they arrive. Thought I would take a few photos while I was calm. I also fitted smoked side repeaters, momo gear knob and suede gaiters.

    Hi folks,
No progress, still waiting for the last adapter for my iso leads so I can fit my headunit and my trim should be back with me at some point this week, I can't wait to get it all back together and take her out for a run. Also got black kidney grills coming too. A few photos after a quick wash today...
