    Is that your car?

    Is that your competition site?

I use revcomps a bit when they have a nice bike or something nice.

I worked it out as roughly 46k.

They wouldn't be doing this if they didn't make money.

Of course. I used the £10 they were originally charging. Good way to sell a car for top £

The £9.99 price only goes live when they have sold 75% of the tickets (pretty much the point they made the money back on the car) so the last 25% is effectively the profit they make (give or take a few quid).

So would you say it was a pain free transaction? They saw your ad somewhere (maybe on here?), made you an offer, you accepted, money transferred and they picked up the car??

Seems to be a good way to sell a modded car.

They spotted the advert on facebook within an hour or 2 of me posting it, sent me a message, made an offer that was a little low. I declined, they made a 2nd (declined) and then a 3rd and final offer which I said I would think about as at that point I wasn't 100% sure I really wanted to sell.

I then left it 2 weeks and decided to accept so messaged them back and said I would take the offer if it was still on the table (it was only £250 less than I wanted).

They arranged to come and collect the car the following day (Wednesday afternoon they messaged me when they were on the way (as they had been somewhere else dropping off a car to 1 of the winners) and again when they were about 20 mins away). When they arrived, they literally walked around the car, quick look at the tyres (the rears were only 700 miles old), quick look under the bonnet and inside and that was it, didn't even ask me to start the car.

However the car was far too low to get on there recovery truck, so they arranged to come and collect it the following day as they are only about 35 mins away from me, they were going to come down and drive it back.

The next morning though I had 2nd thoughts so messaged them and said sorry i'm not ready to let it go (never ever done that before when selling a car). They were ok with that and said no worries, I apologised for messing them about, but they were sound.

Anyway throughout that day I kept thinking about it and remembered why I was selling it (purely because I didn't use it), so I messaged them back that evening, and said if they were still interested then they could have it and appologiesed again for pissing them about. Again they were sound and said yep we will still have it, but asked me to drop it off to them on Saturday morning as it would make things easier for them. I didn't mind as it was the last chance to drive the car.

So I arrived there, again very quick walk around the car, poked their head inside and said right i'll go transfer the money over and that was it.

    Easiest sale ever.
