Agreed. Looks dated. And anyway the second pic was knocked up by a forumista. Never in a million years will an LCI look like that.

They certainly won’t be able to call them kidney grills anymore - god knows what creature has kidneys that shape !
If they ditch the hofmeister kink on the rear side windows that will be all the BMW heritage out the window.

Well as they are shutting down production for a while now.

Maybe they will take this time to redesign the front end of all the cars (current and future).

Plus, the stock 4 series has always been a bit bland.

I know some are saying wait till you see it before you decide etc, but when the leaks for the F8x flowed in, instantly you could see it had presence and was a looker, no warming up period required.

Just doesn't bode too well for the G series from what I’ve seen, happy to be proven wrong as the engine looks mint.

I think the final m3/4 will look great. The grille will grow on people (I like it already) and with the added carbon, vents and bulges it will look more aggressive than the current cars

The vanilla versions always look shite imo. F80 is arguably the best looking m3 ever. The F30 was awful and bland imo.

That’s been photoshopped on. Bit convenient that the spy car would give away the single most controversial part with everything else concealed, no bonnet bulge, no flared arches etc

I still don’t think they’ll use the larger grille on the M3. It was part of the design for a brand new concept 4 series. Botching it onto a 3 series makes no sense, not only from a design perspective but additional cost of changing bumper mounts and bonnet shape to accommodate it.

Ah yes, sorry, still - why is the grille exposed and nothing else, but weird.

There’s a really tidy render of an M3 with the normal 3 grille knocking about somewhere

That’s stunning and how it should absolutely look... but it IS getting the big grille too. Sadly.

And we never get those rims on anything. They advertised the F90 M5 with those deep dished rims. I think its their go to wheel for advertisements ?.

Not confirmed that it’s getting the 4 series grille from anything I’ve seen. Just the internet whipping itself into a frenzy over it
